Chapter 18: Always

Calum's P.O.V

* 7 months later *
Tomorrow is Tiana's first show in Paris. She has been telling me for a while how much she wanted to come here. It was almost our 1 year anniversary and I had to plan something special.

"What am I gonna do?" I ask Michael knowing he and Callie's 2 year anniversary is also coming up. This is Paris, the city of Love and Romance, so whatever I do it has to be 110% perfect for her.

"Well I can't give you any ideas because I might need them," he says chuckling.

"Seriously, Mike. I have no idea what to do," I say getting annoyed.

"Look, you're dating her, not me. Do something that means a lot to both of you, Jesus," he says walking out of the room. That's when the idea sparked into my head.

It was time for us to open for Tiana. Michael and I agreed with Luke and Ashton that we are going to sing 'Disconnected' and 'Greenlight'.

I was watching Tiana perform 'Honeymoon Avenue' and she started crying and walked to the back of the stage. I instantly felt a wave of sadness come crashing down on me. I feel whatever she feels. I know how strong she is because she went right back and sang, but I can't help how much I wanna go there and hold her hand tell her everything is gonna be okay.

Tiana's P.O.V

*phone buzzes*

~Text from Calum
Meet me in the parking lot ;)

~Text to Calum
But it's 4:00 in the morning.

~Text from Calum
Don't care c'mon please.

~Text to Calum
Fine.

~Text from Calum
Okay I'll wait.

I slipped on some black jeans and a red tank with a white sweater. I put on my black boots and head out the hotel room.

"Is there any reason you want me to meet you here at 4:00 am in Paris at a parking lot?" I say sounding annoyed.

"Yes there is," he says smiling. "C'mon get in the car I'm taking you somewhere."

We arrive at this field. It looks just like the one we went to when we had our first kiss. He grabs my hand and runs with me across. It feels like the whole thing is happening again. The moon is still shining. He walks me over to this park with lights and rose petals on the ground. He puts his phone on the ground and puts on some soft background music.

Calum walks over to me looking even more amazing in this light. He puts his hands on my waist and kisses me.

"I love you," he whispers into my ear sending shivers down my spine.

"I love you too Calum."

I giggle. He got down on one knee and pulled a little box out of his pocket. I gasped.

"Happy one year anniversary," he says smiling not opening the box yet. I felt relieved I thought he was proposing to me and I was only 18.

"I love you so much words can't explain it. When the word got around at school that there was a new girl, I didn't care much until I met you. I knew you were the one I want to kiss every single fucking day. You're the one I want to be there for when you're upset. I want to be the one who cuddles with you and teases you. You're the one I want to protect everyday and tell you that you're mine and always will be. Now I can't promise that I will be the best, but I will promise to try for you as hard as I can. So Tatiana Anne Smith, will you accept this promise ring and all my promises with it?" he says with hope in his eyes. I am speechless and felt my heart beat so loud I bet he can hear it. The tears of joy streaming down my face from what he just said.

"Yes," I say smiling.

He slides the ring on my finger. Calum stands up and kisses me. This wasn't like any of our kisses.

Calum and I sat on the field kissing, laughing, and talking. He walked me over to a bridge and grabbed my wrist.

"I will never let you go," he says kissing my cheek. He always made my heart flutter. He set a timer on his camera and kissed me in front of the lit up bridge. It looked amazing since the sun was just begging to come up. I have never been so in love with someone.
