When I got home last night, my parents were gone at what I'm assuming was work. My dad has his own bar and my moms a doctor, so its not unusual for them to work late nights. As far as they know, I was having a sleepover with Hope, so they are unaware of the prison world fiasco.

I walked out to the kitchen to be met with my mom.

"Good morning sweetie" My mom says as she passes me a bowl of cereal, "How was your sleepover?" She asks.

"Nothing out of the ordinary" I tightly smile and say as I begin to eat.

My mom smiles and sits across from me, also getting ready to eat. Just as she's about to take a bite of her food, her eyes follow my face down to my collarbone, where the necklace is resting.

"Oh, um, I found the necklace and figured I would fix it." I quickly say, "If you want it back I can give it-" I say as a start to remove the necklace

"No, no" My mom says as she places her hand on my arm to stop me from taking it off. "Im glad you have it, Uncle Stefan would have wanted you to" She smiles lightly. "Im surprised you were able to fix it is all, dad tried for days and couldn't get it" She says, trying to figure out in her mind how I was able to 'fix it', but not my father.

"Well when you have a witch for a best friend, nothing is impossible... I had Hope do a spell to fix it" I explain

My mom laughs slightly, "Trust me, I know what its like to have a witch as a best friend... I can't believe I didn't think of that" She says quietly

"Well, I've gotta get to school..." I say casually. I've gotta get out of here before I slip and tell her where I've really been.

"Alright, I'll see you later honey" My mom says as she starts picking up the kitchen, "And Stef?" She says and I turn to face her,

"Yea mom?" I ask, suspicious of what she is going to say.

"Im really happy that you found a way to fix that necklace. Uncle Stefan would have been happy" She smiles.

I smile sincerely and then walk out the door to head to school.

I was in the middle of History class, where we were learning about The Battle of Willow Creek. When it comes to history in Mystic Falls, believe me, I know it. Instead of reading me bedtime stories, my dad would tell me all about his history and what the town went through, which at times my mom scolded him for telling little 8 year old me.

"This battle took place right at the end of the war in our own town of Mystic Falls." Mr. Spencer explains, "How many casualties resulted in this battle?"

I began doodling on my notebook. This topic caused me to become uninterested in the lesson, since I already knew all about it.

"Mrs. Salvatore, why don't you answer the question? Or, are we interrupting your art class?" The teacher asks me.

"346 casualties," I sit back and sigh. "Unless, you want to count the local civilians" I smile tightly at the teacher.

"That's correct" Mr.Spencer says both shocked and agitatedly, "Accept, there were no civilian casualties in this battle" He says, thinking he has beaten me.

"Actually, there were 27, sir. Confederate soldiers fired on the church, believing it to be housing weapons, but, them being the intolerant and self-righteous men they were, got too bold. They were wrong." I glare at him, "It was a night of great loss."

From what my father told me, the church actually held vampires, which the town council attempted to get rid of by burning the church down. But of course, the council covered up the incident by stating the story I just told.
