I woke up thanks to the sun beaming through my window. It has been a few days since Raf and I kissed, and I have yet to go back to the school, or speak to him, for that matter.

The kiss wasn't bad, trust me. It was amazing. But I don't know, I guess theres just a new dynamic between us and I'm scared of that.

What if this changes what he thinks of me? What is this changes how we are with each-other?

My thoughts are interrupted when I feel something wet drip unto my hand. I look down and see a dark substance on my hand. I touch under my nose, and realise I have a bloody nose, ugh.

I go to the bathroom, shower, and get ready for the day. While getting ready, I decided that I am going to go to the school today, and talk with Raf.

The drive to the school felt like hours, but I make it there soon enough. I walk towards Landon and Rafs room and can hear what sounds like them wrestling and laughing.

Their door is open so I stand at the door way silently and take in Raf putting Landon in a headlock. His muscles look good.

Did I really just think that??

"Careful Raf, don't want the all powerful Phoenix to spit fire on you, or something" I smile tightly... was that weird to say? God i'm starting to change my mind on this whole talk.

Raf looks my way and smiles, then releases his hold on Landon.

"Landon here, is saying that I am a descendent of kings" Raf says, clearly not believing what Landon said.

"Should I bow down then?" I say sarcastically as I slightly curtesy

Raf finds this entertaining, and is about to comment, but I recognise he has a bloody nose.

"You got a bloody nose bro" Landon says, looking slightly concerned

Raf puts his hand to his nose, to find more of the blood now on his hand. He looks at me, like he is about to say something, then starts coughing. I run over as he falls to the ground on his hands and knees and begins coughing blood.

But it's not blood, its darker, it's black.

I think back to my bloody nose this morning and realise it was the same color.

"Raf it's okay, its okay" I say, trying to reassure myself more than him

I look nervously towards Landon, "Has this been happening?" I ask urgently

"No, no this is new" Landon says quickly

It felt like forever, but in a matter in minutes, Raf stops coughing and begins to catch his breath. I let out a breath I didn't even realise I was holding.

After Raf seems to be stable, I throw myself into his arms and practically squeeze him to death.

"Im okay," Raf says and takes a deep breath "Im okay" he whispers again as we release from the hug.

"We need to get Ric. Now." I stand up and head towards his office

I told Ric about the situation, and my nose bleed as well. Ric concluded that the witches had to do some magical tests on Raf and I, which brings me to now...

We are currently sitting in a classroom while witches poke at our hair, swap our mouths, and take blood samples to test. I feel like a lab rat right now.

Soon enough the witches collected enough samples and left to perform the analysis to tell us what was going on with us.

Raf started to get up.
