Give Me Hope ~ Stefanie Salvatore

~chapter 9~

After hanging up the phone with Clark, I ended up going back home for the night. It was a long day and as strange as it sounds, it made me upset to see Clark go. I guess that's my mothers extreme sympathy for others showing in me.

After school, I went to go see Hope. She told me that her and Landon had gotten back together. As much as she seemed happy, which made me happy for her, I couldn't help but think about the toll this must've left on Josie.

"Where's Landon now anyway? He didn't get up and leave again already, did he?" I say to Hope. Not gonna lie, I'm a bit agitated that he hurt not one, but two of my friends by leaving the school.

"Come on Stef, play nice" Hope sighs, "he's giving a tour to a new student. Apparently there's been a desiccated vampire under the school for god know how long. Long story short, Lizzie found him, is sort of dating him, and now he's gonna attend the school." She explains

"You know, this school never fails to surprise me" I smile tightly

Hope and I walk to the main area where everyone seems to be. Technically, school is still in session at the Salvatore school. Their days end later than mine does at Mystic High.

We see Landon with the new vampire and Josie. Josie looks right at Hope then immediately walks away.

"Josie didn't leave because of me, right?" Hope says as we approach Landon.

"I hope not" Landon says bluntly

"Sorry to disappoint but your hope is slim to nothing" I sarcastically smile at Landon and cross my arms. The new vampire student smirks.

"You must be the new student" I gesture to the vampire.

"Yea, Dr. Saltzman is having me test Sebastian to make sure he is qualified to come to the school" Landon says.

"Call if you need backup" Hope says defensively, eyeing down Sebastian.

"I assure you, I will be on my best behavior. Even a sidekick can handle me." Sebastian smiles towards Landon and I let out a laugh. Hope scowls at me.

"Well, I have to get to class, but Stef, feel free to find Lizzie. I'm pretty sure she has a free period at the moment" Hope says.

"Will do soldier" I salute Hope as she walks away. "Nice meeting you Sebastian, I can't wait to hear all the juicy details about you from Lizzie" I smile and walk away, only glaring at Landon.

After talking with Lizzie, I found out that before Sebastian was un-desiccated, he was getting into Lizzie's head somehow, making her see him but nobody else could. Since nobody but her saw him initially, MG took it in his own hands to prove that she was "hallucinating" a boyfriend. Lizzie was humiliated after MG told her that Sebastian wasn't real, at least, that's what she then thought. But, soon enough MG realized that Sebastian was real because he got into MG's head and explained that he was desiccated under the school, which led MG to find him and feed him blood, which leads us to today.... God I need to keep a journal of everything that happens at this school.

"Sooo, now you and MG aren't friends anymore? If so, that sucks, I was really rooting for you guys." I say, upset to Lizzie.

"As mad as I am with him, he's been... helping me" Lizzie hesitates

"With what?" I say cautiously

"I can't stop having sex with Sebastian!" Lizzie says in a stressed manner

"And that has to do with MG how?" I say even more confused than before

"MG loves comic books and superhero's, which is the equivalent to a cold shower. So, I had him bring some of his comic books for me to distract myself from thinking about Sebastian. Then I explained that to MG and he took his books and left, saying, and I quote, 'my books are a seminal work of fiction, not something to run your horny clock out'" Lizzie says desperately
