Surprisingly, Lizzie was pretty supportive with Josie's decision. And my parents were courteous enough to let Josie stay in our guest bedroom while she attends Mystic Falls High School.
It was a bit odd for the first day of her being here, but we warmed up to each other pretty fast. I don't mind her company, it's like having a sibling, which is entirely new to me.
It was her first day today, and we were running a bit behind.
"Josie, school!" I knocked on the door rapidly as I walked towards my room, in the middle of drying my hair with a towel.
"Ugh, sorry!" Josie says frantically running out of her room while throwing on her shoes. "Not quite used to having to get ready earlier to make it to school, since I'm not living in my school anymore..." She says. I swear I hear a tinge of disappointment when she says the last bit.
"It's alright" I chuckle, as I put on my leather jacket. "You know, fighting off supernatural creatures that want to take over the world have taught me something" I say as I put on my shoes.
"And that is?" Josie asks, unsure of where I am going with this.
"That being late to high school, it the least worrisome thing on this planet" I smile, and Josie lets out a slight laugh.
Josie and I say bye to my parents and head off to school in my dads car he gifted me. I haven't been driving it as often as I would like, but I absolutely love it when I do.
As I am driving to school, I have to slam on my breaks because there is someone standing in the middle of the street.
"Who the hell is that?" Josie says, trying to catch her breath.
"I have no idea" I sigh, and walk out of my car.
It's a girl, with red-ish hair. She's short, and must have a death wish, considering she is unfazed that I almost rammed into her.
"What do you think your doing?!" I yell to her. She does not move, just crossed her arms and looks at me.
"I need your help. Well, mostly I need Josie." The mystery girl says urgently.
"How do you know my name?" Josie says, following shortly behind me.
"Because, my name is Hope. Hope Mikaelson, the daughter of Hayley and Klaus. I was in a prison world with Lan-" She pauses for a moment, clearly hurt by whoever she was about to say. " Look, you don't remember because Landon and I jumped into the Malivore pit, but I am your friend. I go to the Salvatore School. And Landon is in danger." Hope explains.
"If you go to the Salvatore School, then you can go to Ric with this issue. We," I turn gesturing to Josie and I, "are not part of this issue. And plus, vampires can't make babies, so Klaus being your father makes no sense" I start to walk towards my car, but Hopes next comment makes me stop in my tracks.
"Funny coming from you, considering your parents were former vampires..." She says bluntly.
I turn to face her slowly. "How do you know my parents" I say defensively.
"I told you, I am your friend." Hope repeats. After a few moments of examining her and her trustworthyness, I groan and open the car door.
"Get in the car" I say to Hope, and she looks unsure. "If you truly are who you say you are, then this is a conversation to be had with Ric, at the Salvatore School" I say quickly, which causes Hope and Josie to both get into the car.

"This is all very confusing" Ric slurs.
