Merlin's POV

I sat in the cell chained and bolted to the wall. I can't barely move either as they haven't gave me any chance of moving at all.

The Doctor sat beside me. "I've never actually got in this much trouble, well I've been in some tight places but actually  but this is up there. "I would get those off you if I could," he sighed.

"I know, its not your fault. I knew the risks in this, we both did. Did you do what you had to though?" I ask him.

"Actually yes, I planted the device. I've given them a chance and they have not listened. We have to find a way out of here and then, well after that the plan should work."

"What is the device?" I ask.

"Something that could destroy this whole ship and the remainder of their race," said The Doctor.

"You would really do that?" I ask.

"I don't want too, I really don't but if I have too I will." I looked at the Doctor, he knows what its like to sacrifice so much, just in the way he said it. This must not be the first and probably not his last. I don't know him as well as I wish I did. He knows a lot about me but I hardly know him at all.

"This isn't your first time, to sacrifice something for the greater good?" I ask.

"No, it isn't." That's when The Doctor told me about himself, in detail he opened up to me. How he has been with many humans traveling with him and how most of them always leave him in the end or he loses them. He told me about being the only one left of his race and how his enemies always seem to return.

"I'm sorry," I whisper.

"No, don't be. Being here with you, I'm glad I've came here even if Camelot is in danger and your chained next to me. I haven't felt like this in quite a while," he tells me.

"I'm glad I've met you too. I'm glad that you know all about me. No secrets between us," I smile.

"I'm sorry you can't have that with, Arthur."

"Maybe one day, from what you said," I beam.

"Indeed."

Arthur's POV

"I'm not sure we are going to find him," whispers Leon.

"No, we will," said Arthur.

"May I ask why...we had to bring him along?" asked Leon nodding towards Gwaine.

"Because he is a good swords man and a close friend with, Merlin too."

"I understand, sire. He is a bit weird," Leon had to point out.

"Maybe, but there is no doubt in my mind that he wouldn't make a good knight," I tell him.

"But your father?" he asks.

"I know, but maybe someday," I smile back.

"So you have no clue where Merlin could have gone?" asked Gwaine.

"Not at all, it doesn't make any sense," I sigh.

"We won't give up, don't worry Arthur," smiles Gwaine.

The Doctors POV

"What's that?" asks Merlin. We hear something nearby and suddenly the door that leads into this room with the cells swings open and reveals someone I have not seen in a very long time.

"Jack, what are you doing here?" I ask as he opens the cell with his finger print.

"How did he do that?" Merlin asks.

"Just in time too though, why I am here is not important," says Jack as he unchains Merlin and helps him to his feet but it's clear he is going to near some how to walk.

"You can tell me later. We must get rid of them before this enchantment breaks and how did you get in anyway?" I ask.

"A future, Merlin," smiles Jack.

"I don't even want too know," says Merlin.

"Best not, right lets get moving we don't have much time."

"I know, so who are you too The Doctor," Merlin asks as Jack helped him to walk and they headed out of the room with me right behind them.

"An old friend," he smiles.

"We are very grateful," Merlin smiles back.

"What is the plan?" Jack asks me.

"Don't you have one," I ask.

"Come on, Doctor don't mess me around," laughs Jack.

"Alright, I have one and lets hope it works."

"It will work, your The Doctor
