Merlin’s POV

The Doctor looked at me out the corner of his eye as he came out of the Tardis. I stood up waiting for either good news or bad. By his expression alone I could tell its bad news. He looked back in his Tardis a second before stepping aside indicating for me to go by him into the Tardis.

I walked over to him and squeezed by him. He pointed towards part of the Tardis, a separate room if that was even possible in something so small like this but apparently it is. I walked into the room and found Gi very much still alive and looking his same old self.

The Doctor had said that there was every possibility Gi could turn on us as he has been acting up the last couple of days as well as generally looking ill. By the looks of it he seems to be perfectly fine now but maybe I should check with the Doctor.

Gi came over to me and picked me up pulling me closer to him. “Mummy,” he whispered gently into my ear.

“Yeah and don’t worry I’ll always be here for you. You can be on the right side,” I whisper back trying to comfort him even though he probably hasn’t got a clue what I’m saying.

“He’ll be fine but you do realise, Merlin you can’t look after him forever.”

I look over my shoulder at the Doctor. “I wish I could. He needs someone like that,” I say to him as Gi puts me back down and I nod to him to let him know I’m still here.

“I know, you really care for him now but he’ll have to go somewhere he can’t stay here. He’ll have to come with me at some point,” he said looking at me sadly.

“Merlin,” called Gaius.

“You better go,” smiled The Doctor. I nod to him before I leave the room head through the main part of the Tardis and back into my chamber to find Gaius.

“Arthur wants you. Something about your ankle is better so where the heck is he and something about shouting Merlin where’s my lunch,” laughed Gaius.

“Ah right, I better go then. Gaius talk to the Doctor about the alien attack and if he knows any more news about it and tell me later,” I say before I leave my chamber and take a quick walk through the main part of the chamber into the corridor.

I found Arthur in the corridor half way to his chamber. His face lit up when he spots me but then his grin suddenly got replaced with a angry expression. I half laugh half dread what he is about to do.

“It’s great to see you Merlin, now fetch my lunch to my chambers, I’m starving.”

“Of course, sire.”

“Oh and Merlin,” called Arthur as I walked by him to head towards the kitchens.

“Yes?” I ask.

“Don’t forget the drink.” He winked at me. I smile at him before he turns away and heads towards his chambers as I go towards the kitchens.

Gaius’s POV

“Doctor Merlin wanted me to ask how the,” I cut short as I reached the Tardis as I saw what the Doctor was doing inside. He turned his head to me.

“There nearly here. In a couple of hours they will invade Camelot,” he says quietly.

“What are we going to do?” I ask him wondering if he and Merlin even have a plan.

“I have a plan, a plant Merlin said not to tell you because you won’t like it,” he says slowly to me.

“Just tell me, you’re going to need my help.”

“We have to stop them without causing a complete riot and ruining the time line and the future and the present day. Merlin is gonna use his magic to create this fake made up Camelot. It will use a lot of his energy up. Merlin and I will be the only ones inside it to stop them. It’s dangerous and they may not fall for it completely but they have so far. Problem is I need Merlin now,” he says.
