Chapter Fifteen: I miss Merlin a lot

Merlin's POV

I didn't know what my future holds. I didn't know if I would ever see Camelot again but I know I had to leave Camelot and I need someone to help me through. The Doctor is who I need right now and I think he needs me too.

The Doctor's Taris is really  big. I mean he has gave me a separate part of the Tardis to sleep and keep my stuff including what I had received from the aliens two months ago.

"Merlin!" The Doctor calls me. I rush out my room into the main part of the Tardis to find him  rushing around the middle of it pressing buttons.

"What's wrong?" I ask.

"We are being pulled in by something. Are you sure you are ready for this? We could face anything," smiles the Doctor.

"I'm sure. I said yes and I'm not turning back now," I smile.

"Good then lets have an adventure," he beams as the Tardis starts to go crazy and I have to hold on so I don't fall over. It finally stopped making that noise it always does when The Doctor lands its.

The Doctor smiles at me. "I'm glad you are here, Merlin. I never knew I would travel with someone so powerful and so brave."

"Well I never knew I would be flying in a ship, crossing Galaxy's, facing aliens, travelling in time and meeting a new friend," I tell him.

The Doctor pats my shoulder before he heads over to the door and pulls it open. "Merlin you must see this!" he calls..  I rush over to the door and take a look.

"Wow." I had never seen something so amazing in my life.

"Welcome to the Twenty first century. I have been here many times. This is Planet earth but many years into the future, Merlin."

I couldn't believe my eyes. The buildings are massive and there are these strange metal things with wheels everywhere and so many people wearing oddly styled clothes. This reminds me of how I felt when I met the Doctor or had a ride in his Tardis or even when I was on that other spaceship.

"So you have no idea why you are here right?" I ask.

"We don't know why we are here yet but I'm sure we will know soon enough. Until then we just look around investigate until something comes up. I always seem to find the problem," says the Doctor before he locks the Tardis and leads the way.

The Doctor's POV

I know having Merlin with me is dangerous but I know Merlin needs me right now and also part of me wants him here. I can't help it, I may have lost a lot of people and I put Merlin in the risk of that but I know Merlin won't give up and he knows how to look after himself. He has magic and he is special, more special then anyone I have known.

I lead Merlin down the street giving him some time to take in everything. We finally reach outside a hotel that looks abandoned. The last time I walked by this it was running smoothly. Has it been that long since I came here? Maybe it is.

"Doctor, I think something is going on here," Merlin says.

"What do you mean?" I ask.

"Well you see I don't know this area but that door is ajar and I feel something inside."

"You can sense Magic but no magic would be here," I tell him.

"I don't know I just feel like we need to go in there," says Merlin.

"Then lead the way."

Merlin smiles before he heads forward first and goes into the abandon hotel and I follow quickly after him. I hope Merlin is right about this.

As we both was inside the door slammed shut. I tried to open it but its locked. I tried to open it with my sonic screwdriver but it didn't work, how strange.

"Maybe you are right about this, Merlin," I say as I quickly head forward to catch up with him.

"Its coming from up stairs. We should split up though, we can cover more ground," says Merlin. I don't like the sound of that idea but Merlin is right.

"Ok but be careful."

Gaius's POV

I look down at the floor sitting on Merlin's bed. Even after for a period of one week my heart is still aching. I know where Merlin has gone, with the Doctor but I'm really missing him and I fear I may never see him again.

I don't know how Arthur is taking all of this. Deep down inside I know he didn't want Merlin to go but he had to follow the law. It was just too soon for Arthur to find out about Merlin magic and now all seems lost for Camelot and all is lost for Merlin.

Merlin may never come back, he may even die with The Doctor and I would never know. All I do know is, I miss Merlin a lot.
