Merlin's POV
As I came out of Arthur's chamber knowing he would enjoy his food and will not need me for some time now. He expects me to get this armour done. Before I do that I have to check up on Gaius and the Doctor encaae they need me.
The Doctor said the invasion would be here very soon and soon could mean today for all I know. I rush towards Gaius's chambers but I never make it as the Doctor rushed around the corner and his eyes light up when he sees me.
"Merlin there you are. It's time Merlin and we have to go now," he smiled at me.
"Ok, Arthur's armour will have to wait," I smile as I follow the Doctor back the way he had came. We just have to hope this is going to work.
I suddenly felt faint but I kept going until we got to the chamber. Gaius stood waiting for us both. "Be careful," he simply says to me giving me a hug before nodding and handing me a medicine bag.
"We'll be alright. We'll come back and make sure we save Camelot," I tell him.
"I know, you always do," he smiles.
"We have to go," says the Doctor. We both into my chamber and into the Tardis. We stood in an area the Doctor had set up.
"Magic and a Tardis what an odd thought," laughed the Doctor. I smile at him before I start to enchant the spell as the Doctor holds onto my shoulder.
At first I thought it hadn't worked but the next moment everything began to move a lot faster before it all just vanished right in front of us.
Blackness took over for a while before I opened my eyes to find light shinning down on me. The Doctor loomed over me smiling. "Well, you truely are powerful like the books said," he beamed.
"What?" I ask confused as I got up with the help of him offering me his hand.
"That don't matter right now, it worked. Are you ready for this type of magic? I mean to keep it holding this long and be inside it too?" he asks.
"I just have to be don't I? We haven't got a choice."
The Doctor looked at me. "Why doesn't see the greatness in you? The wisedom and willing to put your life on the line for him everyday?" The Doctor questioned me.
"I ask that question everything single day while I protect him. The praise or a thank you would be nice but I'm not doing it for that. I'm doing it because he can the once and future king of Camelot. He is the one that can change everything for Camelot and Albion and as much as I hate to say it I like the clotpole and our banter. It's my destiny, like traveling around in your Tardis and saving people that's your destiny? Have you ever considered that?" I ask him.
"No, I guess not."
"Come on enough of the general chit chat we have work to do. We have Camelot to save," I smile.
Arthur's POV
It's been three days since I have seen Merlin or his cousin, John. I've gone to question Gaius on this and he says something is wrong. It's not like Merlin to disappear like this without at least telling him.
I know this time Merlin couldn't just be wondering off or taking a few days off purpously and he isn 't in the Tavin I've checked and got others check the last few days but nothing.
I'm beginning to wonder if I should go out in search of the idiot. "Arthur," smiled Gwen.
"Hello Gwen," I smile.
"You're worried about Merlin?" she asked.
"What makes you say that," I say.
"I just know, I'm too."
"I have to go find him," I tell her.
"Are you sure that's a good idea?" she asks.
"No but its not going to change my mind," I tell her. She nods.
