Chapter Nineteen: A Genius and Magic

Merlin's POV

At first Luke and I kept up with River but it wasn't too long till she turned a corner and the next thing we knew we had lost her. I watch as Luke starts looking around more carefully.

"What's wrong?" I ask.

"I don't know, I've been here for a while and I don't remember this door being here before. It's like things have disappeared and taken a different shape or item. It just feels strange that's all," Luke explains.

"Do you want to check it out then?" I ask.

"Maybe, we lost River now anyway. I'm sure it won't take long and then we can continue to look," Luke says.

"Yeah I mean this may need investigating so what's stopping us doing it? I mean we both can do this no problems," I say.

"My thoughts exactly, come lets go have a look," smiles Luke.

Luke opened the door and went inside and I followed straight in after him. "Can you see anything Luke?" I ask.

"No its too dark," Luke says.

I enchant a spell and a ball of light shines in front of Luke and I. We find ourselves standing in a small room covered in trees and flowers.

"So you said you don't know where this is?"

"No I have no idea. Tree's and flowers being here though, don't make much sense. I mean this wasn't even here before I swear it. It's a bit odd," Luke says.

"Yeah it seems that way," I say.

"The creatures are too rough. You have taken this a bit too fare. You shouldn't even be here on this planet. They will turn on you," we hear voices coming from the door we had left ajar.

We rush behind some trees as we see two people come into the room. Well ones human, the other one not as s. . My ball of lights vanishes and is replaced by electric lights above Luke nudges me and I look at him and shrugg. He points towards the cage in the far corner. 

"I think there might be someone in there," Luke whispers.

"How is our little visitor?" the human man asked wearing a full black suit.

"Well, pissed off if you can imagine. Look, I doubt  she was capable of shooting one of the creatures," the alien says. The alien looks almost human apart from its hands and its extra eye.

"Are you sure about that? No one else has broken in," says the man.

"That's because they didn't break in. Guess what we have found," said someone rushing into the room. Another human  like Luke and I but a woman this time. I wonder what they are doing here if this is not Earth.

"What?"

"The Tardis!"

Luke and I looked at each other, probably thinking the same thing. How do they know about the Tardis or less they know about The Doctor.

I moved slightly and knocked the tree a little too much. "Something is over there!" shouts the alien. We both look at each other and sigh.

"We might need to make a run for it," Luke quickly says.

"We might not be able to do that. There covering the door which is the only way in and out as fare as we know. We have no time to look for another exit either but we'll have to try."

"I'll distract them and you go save whoever is in the cage," says Luke. 

"Alright."

Luke came out from behind the trees and all there eyes landed on him. I quickly went over to the cage still hiding behind the tress. I find a little girl tears in her eyes but also showing confusion and frustration at the same time.

"Don't worry we'll get out of here," I whisper.

"Who are you!" they demanded at Luke.

"No one, I just somehow transported here. I don't know how," Luke says.

"Same excuse as the girl," whispered the alien.

"Yes but that don't mean its the truth. We don't trust you," says the man. 

"You can believe me or not like I care what you think. I'm going home if you like it or not," says Luke.

"How you going to do that?" they ask. Luke looked over at me and I nodded as I unlocked the cage and got the girl out.

"With the Tardis of course."

"You know the Doctor grab him, fetch some guards do something!" the human shouts.

I get out from behind the trees holding the girls hand telling her it be alright. "Another one, its an invasion!" he shouts.

Two people are not an invasion, he fears his own kind, now that's new. "Sorry but we don't have time to stick around," I say as I rush over to Luke and he smiles at me.

"We are not with The Doctor we know him but we are not with him. We were after him, we wish to kill him," says Luke.

"Are you being serious?"

"Well yeah, don't you want him dead?"

"I want his Tardis, so yes I guess I do," says the man.

"Shame you won't ever get it!" I shout as I say a spell and knock them all out our way. Luke, the girl and I run for it as fast as we can out the room.

"Get them now!" the man shouts from behind us.

"Can you ever get use to this?" I ask Luke.

"Yes, in time," laughs Luke.

"Merlin, Luke there you are," says River.

"No time to chat we have company," I say as we keep running and River joins us.

"Found trouble I see. Well we have bigger problems, I can't find the Doctor anywhere and the Tardis isn't where we left it."

"That's because the trouble we ran into was the boss I believe. He wants the Tardis and it looks like he has it. We must get it back whatever the cost. We should split up cover more ground," says Luke.

"Alright, you two seem to be doing ok on your own. I'll take the girl, I take that the girl was a prisoner. Probably turned up just like you did," she points to Luke.

"Yeah we meet back up soon," says Luke before we both set off leaving River with the little girl. River will be fine, I think we can all look after ourselves but we must find the Doctor and get the Tardis back before its too late.

We had stopped running in hope we had created a gape between us and the alien and two humans but as we turned around the corner something grabbed onto me and Luke. "Let go!" we both shout.

"A Genuius and Magic, now what would I do with that?"
