Your phone rings, and you look over to see who's calling.

But seeing the name makes you freeze.

Taemin.

Should I pick up or not?

What does he even want?

Wait but he's actually calling me...maybe I should pick up just to see what he wants...

Yeah. I can hang up on him anytime and block him if he keeps calling after that.

Hesitantly, you pick up.

You don't say anything at first.

"Y/N...you actually picked up," Taemin says.

"If you have nothing to say, I'm hanging up," you say.

"Y/N, I don't know how to say this..."

"Three..." you begin counting down.

"No no, don't hang up," he says quickly, and proceeds to take a breath, loud enough for you to hear. "I'm enlisting at the end of this month."

"Oh," you say. I mean, what else am I supposed to say?

But end of the month...there's only a week left.

"Can...I see you one more time before I go?" he asks in a soft voice.

Maybe it was because you were too invested in thinking about those bracelets and that photo, but it suddenly came across you that Lia mentioned that she went to high school with Taemin, and knew him.

"Oh my god..."

"What?" Taemin says hurriedly. That was when you realized that you actually said that out loud.

"Answer my questions and I'll think about it," you say desperately, "You knew Itzy's Lia in high school, right?"

"Uhh yeah we went to the same school," Taemin replies, confused about why you're suddenly asking this.

"What's her real name?"

"Choi Jisu."

Lia's real name...is Choi Jisu

Her initials match the one on the bracelet!

That means...she dated Jimin in high school?

So I knew her all along.

It's her.

"...Y/N?"

"Yeah?" you say, snapping out of your thoughts.

"Umm about my question I-"

"Oh, I mean sure we can meet. But why?"

"I just want to apologize to you in person."

"Oh."

"I'm actually kind of close to your place...could I stop by?" he asks hesitantly.

"Ok. I guess I'll go downstairs to see you." you say.

By the time you dressed up, Taemin was already there.

"Hi," you say awkwardly, waving at him.

"How are you doing?" Taemin asks.

"I'm doing pretty good," you reply, "How about you?"

"I've been doing ok, I guess," he says, pausing before continuing, "I know I was a horrible boyfriend to you and I'm really sorry that I gave you a hard time. I was inconsiderate of you and this is long overdue, but I'm sorry."

Silence fell between the two of you.

You never thought the day would come where you would hear a sorry from Taemin.

"It's ok. I think I already forgave you," you say, giving him a small smile.

"Thank you."

"But...can I make a request?" he continues.

"What?" you say.

"When I come back, could we try being friends again?"

That's...not what you expected his request to be.

Unsure of what to say, you simply tell him, "We'll see then."

It was the weekend, and you were hanging out at your boyfriend's house.

You two were cuddling on the couch, just enjoying time alone together.

Jimin kisses your lips sweetly, and places his hand on your cheek.

"I love you," you say when he pulls away to let you breath.

"I love you too, baby," Jimin says. He placed his thumb on your lips, tracing them.

His lips found their place on yours again and you run your fingers through his hair.

You slip your tongue inside his mouth, tasting him.

"Are you hungry for me, Y/N?" he asks teasingly.

Before you got to reply, your stomach growls. A little embarrassed, you cover your cheeks with your hands.

"Let's get something to eat," Jimin says.

Later that afternoon, something came up in your mind.

"Mochi," you say to Jimin.

"Yeah, babygirl?" he says, looking at you affectionately.

"Why did you become an idol?" you say, "I mean, I'm curious because you've never really mentioned it anywhere."

"Hmm when I was in high school, there was a girl who first told me that I would make a good singer. She told me that I would make a good idol. That stuck in my mind all the way." he admits.

"Is that girl Lia?" you say quietly.

"How did you know?" Jimin asks in a soft voice.

"You dated her in high school," you blurted out, "Y-you lied to me. You told me you never had a girlfriend before."

"That's not what happ-" he says. That phrase really made you mad because whenever you tried to confront Taemin about something, he always said this.

"Then what's with the bracelet you still keep?" You move away from him.

"Y/N, calm down. Why don't we talk about thi-"

"You also told Jungkook that you didn't like me when he asked."

"So you were there," he mumbles.

"Yes, I was. Did you say something you wouldn't have in front of me?"

Honestly, you didn't know why you were even getting so worked up over this.

Maybe it was the stress from everything that has happened recently.

Or it was a result of keeping something this big all to yourself and trying to solve it all on your own when you knew that wasn't possible.

"What, you told me you were going to have lunch with a friend yet I saw you alone with Jungkook." he snaps back.

"Jungkook is my friend. Wait how would you know? Were you following me?"

"I happened to pass by," he says, making you roll your eyes at that, "If you overheard our conversation, you would've known that he likes you. Why would you still go to lunch with him knowing that? You're just leading him on."

"Look, baby, I don't want to argue," Jimin says, running his hand through his hair, "As I was trying to say, why don't I explain what happened first, and then you can ask me anything. I'll answer them honestly."

"Fine."
