After driving through the rest of the day and the next, Freddy rolled the van up at a park in the centre of a small town. It was early morning, and they were here to try and advertise their party services, as well as hopefully book a last minute gig at a bar or club in the town.

The park was lush with budding trees and flowering bushes. And at the centre of all the winding stone paths was the playground area. The playground was bright and colourful with winding slides and twisting monkey bars. Some of the parents were standing under trees nearby to hide from the summer heat. The band would frequent parks like this often. Either to stick around and sucker in the parents to book something, or just to mount some fliers around.

Freddy however, was also cooking up a scheme... With their time on the road, he had a lot to think about, and his main concern was whether or not Gregory was lonely as the only kid among the crew. He would only be staying with them for about 2 weeks, but Freddy felt guilty thinking that he was missing out. Or, even worse, that he might not be having any fun! So, while they would work on advertising Freddy and the Glamrocks, Gregory would get the chance to maybe make some friends. Or, at least spend some time outside, despite being a robot and not necessarily needing it.

Gregory spotted the colourful play structure and all of the kids playing on it. He also noticed some of the adults helping the kids climb the monkey bars and the structure, as well as going down the slides. Freddy had told them they were here to work, but all Gregory could think of right now was to play. He was programmed to want to engage with other kids and to have fun, but it was a scary prospect... he had gone through testing before and he definitely could talk with strangers and kids his own age, but that didn't stop his worries. What if they found out he wasn't like them? Would Blue Bonnet Tech find him here and take him away? He decided that he would stick close to Freddy for now and worry about all that after they finished working. He didn't expect that Freddy would scoop him up onto his shoulders and immediately walk him over there!

"Alright Superstar! Here's the drill, you have a very special mission! While Monty, Chica and Roxy hand out and mount fliers, you are going to talk to the kids. Get them all excited about Freddy and the Glamrocks. You think you can help with that?" Freddy smiled ear to ear, quite proud of his plan to get Gregory to relax a little and be a normal kid. Well, as normal as he could be.

Meanwhile, poor Gregory was psyching himself up for this. He didn't know how to play with the kids and talk to them. How should he start a conversation? He was full of anxiety, but he was also determined to succeed! Freddy was counting on him, he had to do this. He wanted Freddy to be proud of him. Gregory watched as Freddy carried him over to the play structure and then set him down.

He made sure the bandages were tightly covering his joints before nodding in approval, "It's all up to you now Gregory, you got this! If you need help, just come ask me. I won't be far, alright?"

Gregory nodded back, a determined look on his face. He was ready! He could do this!

Oh god he wasn't ready! He couldn't do this!

Watching the kids play on the play structure, Gregory awkwardly stood at the edge of the sand pit. He didn't know how to start. He needed to strategize first. He sat down on the sand with his legs crossed and his round face turned serious. How could he get the kids to like him? His first thought was dino nuggets but... well... he didn't exactly have any of those! Maybe he could just walk up to the play structure and play on his own...? But he didn't want to do that, he didn't think anyone would approach him.

In the end, he decided to just walk up to one of the kids and ask if he could play with them. He saw a boy only a year younger than his programmed age and walked over to him a little stiffly. He really wanted to chicken out, but he had to do this for Freddy! He walked in front of the boy and looked at him for a few seconds before blurting out,
