Freddy moved Gregory so that his head was pillowed on his lap. He tried so hard to wipe away all of the black fluid that was leaking from the boy's injury, but it didn't help at all. The black fluid slowly seeped out of the bullet hole in his head. It pooled around them and stained Freddy's hands.

He didn't even feel the pain in his shoulder anymore. It was insignificant to him now. The shock from it all made him numb to everything except for the boy in front of him. He blinked, and suddenly it wasn't Gregory in his lap. It was a young man, with bright purple hair and pale skin. He looked almost sickly now as he breathed shakily and gripped Freddy's hand in his own.

"Freddy... I... Freddy I'm so scared..." The man cried as his brown eyes welled up with tears.

"Shhhh shh sh! It's okay! It's going to be okay, alright Bonnie? Everything will be okay, I promise!" Freddy cried desperately as he wiped the blood away from the side of the man's head. His purple hair started to stain with crimson as he breathed weakly. His eyes fluttered and he looked around him as the blood kept flowing like a river.

Finally, his brown eyes locked onto Freddy. His breathing got weaker, but now, he was smiling. It wasn't a happy smile, it was sorrowful. He never wanted to see him smile at him like that ever again.

Slowly, his lips moved. It was like time stopped as he just stared at him, "Freddy... I don't think... you shouldn't make promises you can't keep, love... I can't hold on... you know how this sweet song ends..."

Freddy shook his head as he held Bonnie closer. He frantically tried to stop the bleeding but it was too much. He had an awful gash in the side of his head, and a similar one on his shoulder and a third in his stomach. Blood seeped into his blue sweater slowly, turning it almost black as the red and blue fought for dominance. It was just too much... it was too much blood.

"No... no no! Just hang in there okay Bonnie? Please? Just do it for me Bon Bon..." Freddy pleaded as he shakily wiped away one of the man's tears. In its stead, his thumb left a red smear. He was now painfully aware of how red his own pants, hands and shirt had turned from the blood.

"Freddy, look at me..." Bonnie almost whispered. When Freddy nodded and stared at his brown eyes, he smiled a little brighter now, "I love you, so much... don't... don't be scared to move on, okay? I... I'll never blame you for it... Just take care of yourself... I'm sorry I won't be here anymore, to hold your hand when you're anxious before a show... to cook you burnt food and make you laugh... to tell you that I'm so proud of you..."

"Stop... just stop, please... just hold on a little longer, please..." Freddy hiccuped as he held Bonnie close to him. Tears slowly streamed down his face as he held the man he loved so much and felt his body start to turn cold, "I love you so much, please Bonnie... please, you have to stay,"

"I'm sorry Teddy bear... you know how much I hate all this cheesy nonsense but... I will always..." blood slowly dropped from the man's pale lips. He swallowed it back and mumbled out, "I will always be with you..."

Freddy watched as his mouth went still, and his breathing halted. His eyes glazed over. The dark brown irises now looked so... lifeless. He slowly shook him in his arms, "Bonnie...?" He asked with a small and quiet voice. He knew Bonnie wouldn't respond. He couldn't. But he so desperately wanted him to start talking again, to reassure him that everything was fine, to make a small joke at his expense, to lovingly tease him for crying like a baby, to just start breathing again...

He went numb as he stared at his pale face. He engraved it into his memory. Even though he knew it would haunt him, he wouldn't dare let himself forget his face. Even now that it was no longer smiling. Smiling at him. Even now that it was so cold and bleak. Even now that it was stiff and lifeless. Even now that it was so different from the Bonnie he knew and loved.
