The room was warm, cozy. He felt something soft on him, probably a blanket. There was also something heavy on his hand. His mind first focused on trying to reboot and assess any issues with the system. As the progress bar crept and lurched, he slowly came to. Where was he now? Wasn't he supposed to be in the lab? What was he doing before this? His memory was hazy. It felt weird, wrong. Like there was something very important he needed to do. Eventually, the diagnostics were done and he opened his eyes.

His surroundings were vaguely familiar, but it wasn't the lab. Where was he? He looked to his side, and his eyelids widened.

Everything flooded back to him at once. The memories stored were slowly being reprocessed. A man- Freddy, was sleeping at the side of the bed with his hand resting on Gregory's. He looked tired, and a little pale. He was probably worried sick.

Gregory very carefully checked Freddy's shoulder and was relieved to see that the bullet wound was only a faint scar. However, why was it so faint? Did it really heal that fast? Or...

He knew the answer the second he looked outside the window. It was winter, snowflakes and frost tickled the glass. He checked himself over to find that there were some peculiarities in his systems. Someone had clearly repaired him, but who? They must not have been from the lab as all the repairs were different, a little foreign. But they were still decent. He was able to function normally now. It must have taken them a while to fix him...

He watched Freddy sleeping quietly and debated on whether or not he should wake him up. He instead got an idea.

He pinched the man's nose between his fingers and watched as Freddy began to snore loudly. He couldn't help but laugh at him. The burly man jolted awake and looked around the room before realizing that Gregory was awake, and laughing at him of all things!

"Gregory! You're awake! Are you okay? Are you feeling alright?? Ford tried to fix you up but I don't know if he was able to do it right, is anything still broken?!"

Gregory couldn't stop laughing and just shook his head, "I'm fine! I'm fine! You should've heard how loud you snored though!"

Freddy huffed, a bit upset that the first thing Gregory did was laugh at him. He pinched the boy's face and scolded him lightly, "I don't snore! And it's not nice to make fun of others!"

Gregory laughed again as Freddy pouted and ignored him. He eventually rolled his eyes and Gregory tackled him into a tight hug. Freddy was shocked, but he eagerly returned the embrace. He tried to calm down as he convinced himself this wasn't a dream. Gregory had woken up. He was awake, and he was well.

After sitting in silence for a bit, the two got up. Freddy held his hand and he lead him out of the room, "Mannie is downstairs making breakfast, we should go say hi," the burly man looked down at Gregory with a small, relieved smile.

Gregory nodded and walked down the stairs, Freddy helicoptering behind him the whole way. Eventually the boy sighed and turned back to confront him.

"Freddy, I'm fine! Really! I'm not just going to fall over and spontaneously combust. So, you can stop watching me like a Hawk," Gregory ordered him as he pointed his finger at the man. He quickly understood that Lizzie likely was the source of his sassy nature,

Freddy seemed a little bit embarrassed, but he got the message and let go of his hand. The two made it downstairs in one piece, just as Gregory had said, no accidents.

Gregory could tell immediately that this was definitely the Wilde's house. The layout was the same and it really hadn't changed much. He could faintly smell pancakes in the kitchen and he looked at Freddy with his finger over his mouth. He had a fun idea he wanted to try. He had seen it done in some cartoons he watched with Monty, and it was usually pretty funny. He tiptoed into the kitchen and sat down at the dining table. And then he waved for Freddy to enter.
