It had been a few months since Gregory had woken up from all of his repairs. Things were going smoothly now, and they had all settled into a routine. The Glamrocks would tour around for a month or two, and then return to the Wilde's house to unwind and help Gregory have a little more stability in his life. Freddy also wanted to make sure he could see Ford and Mannie regularly to ask for advice and help. And, he was very happy to see Gregory fawning over little Lola. He seemed just as excited as her parents to watch her grow up. He knew immediately that Gregory was likely going to be a horribly over protective brother figure for the little Wilde. She would just have to deal with it though. The kid was only getting more stubborn and sassy by the week.

Unfortunately, Gregory had been out of commission for a while before he woke up that winter. And now that a few months had passed, it was summer again, and...

Freddy looked at the calendar and sighed deeply. It would be the anniversary again. The anniversary of Bonnie's death. He had talked to Ford about it as he always does. He loves Chica and the others, but he couldn't really talk to them about it. He didn't want Chica to see him so vulnerable again. Bonnie had been like a brother to Chica, and it broke Freddy seeing her get all choked up again when she missed him. Roxanne had never really got to know him very well. She always just saw him as another one of Ford's friends. And Monty? He was sweet and all, but he really had trouble dealing with other people crying. He was just a bit awkward when things got so mushy-feely.

Ford had mentioned that Annabella was getting old now, and it started to make Freddy feel a bit guilty. Bonnie had been working at her bowling alley for a long time, and he had gotten close with her. Bella was like a mother to Bonnie, and after he died she had been grieving pretty hard too. She wanted to help Freddy, but he couldn't let her in fully. So instead, they would sometimes get coffee and just talk to each other about him. He had missed out on seeing her for around a year now, the guilt slowly worked its way through him.

So, he called her and asked if they could meet over coffee like usual. She really was getting old, and it tugged at his heartstrings hearing her sweet voice a little more hoarse than usual. He didn't mention it to her though. She happily agreed to meet with him that day.

After saying goodbye to Gregory and assuring him he was alright, he felt a little happier as the kid called him dad. The sassy kid ushered him out the door to get on with his business. When he was ready, he would take Gregory to meet Bella, and hopefully they could both talk more about Bonnie with him. He wanted to tell Gregory, but he wasn't ready for that big of a step yet.

Freddy sat down in the small coffee shop. It was the same one they always went to. The owner had been watching the two come here to talk for a long time, and he had even started reserving them a table without saying anything. He didn't stir up a fuss if they stayed late either. He would just quietly nod at them under his red fishing cap and leave them to their own devices. He appreciated it greatly. Sometimes Freddy would just stop by on his own to give him a small thank you and order a coffee for the road.

He parked himself down at their table near the back as he waited quietly for her to arrive. The red seats of the coffee shop were a bit uncomfortable, but it kept him grounded. He watched the clock slowly tick by. She was always on time, and just on cue, the door opened with the jingle of the chimes. Freddy looked over his shoulder at her and smiled.

She was in her late 70's now and it clearly showed. Her once beautiful ebony black hair was now almost entirely silver. The only traces of its original colour being a few peppery strands at the back. The long purple dress she wore was oddly formal. He didn't mind it though, she was always dressed to impress no matter the occasion. Despite her age, she was still youthful. Her eyes wide and bright, with a faint haze. Her dark eyes were masked neatly behind her thin half lense reading glasses. Her steps were immensely graceful, not stumbling even once or using the passing tables to steady herself. Eventually, she sat down across from Freddy. She wrapped her white shawl around herself a little tighter as she smiled sweetly at him. The crows feet around her eyes shifted with a genuine smile.
