twenty nine

i woke up startled about what had happened. it felt as though lights were flickering around me. my eyes fluttered, my body ached. what the hell had happened?

"cel?" i looked around and saw where i was. a hospital. i was surrounded by all my friends and then to my side was my loving boyfriend harry. i tried to turn to face him but i squeezed my face at all the pain i was facing.
"stay still, don't strain yourself" i turned to see a doctor in blue scrubs beaming at me.
"what happened?" i looked at her and her smile slowly dropped.

"do you not remember anything?"

"only the pain i felt"

"celeste you were in a car accident, your car was rammed into the side and it hit you. your leg and pelvis are severely broken and your arm is broken but not as much. there are burns across your best from the airbag and your head has a few marks from hitting the headboard. your left side is all in tact but it could take you ages to get back on your feet again. you'll be in hospital for around 3 weeks as we need to monitor you as you've just woken up from a 3 day coma. i'm so sorry celeste, your friends are all with you now, i'll leave you to catch up with them. there's a button for you to press if you need help. i'll come check in on you soon." the nurse walked out of my room without turning around. wow.

"do my parents know?" i asked looking around.

"they know, they were down here for the past two days but they said they had to get back but didn't say what. i'm sorry cel." Talia replied to me.

"it's okay there busy. thank you all, you guys are my family." i smiled at all of them which took up all the energy in me. i felt as though i was dead. my body on one side i was unable to move, my head was banging and i could just about open my eyes.

"are you okay cel?" i looked around and saw Ethan staring with concern at me.

"nope feel like shit, i was so stupid for taking my eyes off the road and looking around and boom all this happens and i can't even move. it's shit, like really shit." tears formed in my eyes and started streaming down my face. a warm familiar hand grabbed mine rubbing their fingers along the top of my hand. it was Harry.

"we're all here for you cel, could i just have some private time with cel for a minute you guys can come back in then" he asked. i was confused what he wanted to talk about but whatever it was, i had my beautiful boyfriend with me.

"of course, your so brave celeste" tobi said walking behind all the others. i gave a small smile as everyone walked out into the hallway.

"what's wrong harry?"

"did you crash because of me?" tears were running down his face and his breaths became more rugged.

"what do you mean harry?" i looked at him with shock on my face.

"i messaged you before you crashed. you crashed because of me." the messages. everything came back. i took a look at my phone to see who messaged and saw it was him. and then two seconds past and i've ended up here.

"harry it was my fault. i should have never taken my eyes of the road. i saw notifications come up from others. harry promise me one thing, it wasn't your fault. it was my own. promise me you won't let it eat you up inside and we'll continue living our life like nothing happened when i'm let out." he leant over and gave a kiss on the cheek.

"have i ever told you how much i love you?"

"many times but say it again." i giggled.

"i love you so much. for ever and ever. you'll never get sick of me saying it because i know how much you love me too."

"you sure bout that smell?"

"oh i'm positive alright" i giggled at his comment before pulling him in for a peck on the lips. i heard whistling coming from outside, freezy and lux wolf whistled with there fingers in there mouths. me and harry looked at each other and burst out laughing beckoning them back in.

"right so whose the bigger simp?" JJ asked before everyone chuckled.

"harry" i replied as fast as possible.

"hey hey hey no need for that, but she's not wrong" harry said back causing fits of laughter.

"SIMP!"jj shouted which caused even more laughs.

even though i was in hospital it was the happiest i had felt in ages, my friends well my family were with me and i couldn't be more grateful.

"i love you guys so much you know that right?" i told them.

"we love you more celly belly" gee replied and everyone else agreeing.

love was never something that came easy for me, always falling for the wrong person but meeting all of these people made me realise what true love really was. i had harry, i had faith and ethan i had my girls and i had all the fellow sidemen. these people had shown me what real love was like and i couldn't be more thankful.
