Chapter 19

Nandito kami ngayon sa loob ng bus. Pauwi na kami, pero dadaan muna raw kami sa isang souvenir shop sa bayan.

Napalingon ako sa katabi ko. He's just staring out the window, enjoying the view. 

Should I ask him?

Nah. We should let it pass.

But I really want to know what happened! I should definitely ask him for my peace of mind.

Hmm...

"Uh... Mira? Do you have something to say or ask?" tanong ng katabi ko. Mukhang napansin niya na kanina pa ako sumusulyap-sulyap sa kaniya.

"Uh, Aaron, about last night..." I took a pause to clear my throat. "What happened? I don't remember anything." I smiled awkwardly.

He chuckled softly. Mukhang may naalala siyang nakakatawa. Oh, my God! Don't tell me I did something stupid? 

"Ah, last night? You really don't remember anything... Gwen?"

What he said made my eyes widen in shock. 

"Wohoo!"

The bottle points at me when it stops spinning. I guess it's my turn.  

"Mira, truth or dare?" they excitedly ask me.

I snorted a laugh. I feel dizzy due to all the alcohol I've consumed. My cheeks are burning. I feel like I'm floating in the air. I feel fearless. I guess this is what they call "liquid courage". It feels nice!

"Dare!" I exclaimed. 

They all applauded me like I'm a hero. 

"Whoa! What a brave soul!" I heard someone yell. 

"Okay." Dale, the guy who brought the alcohol, intensely stared at me. I stared back. Nanahimik ang lahat upang pakinggan ang susunod na sasabihin niya. "I dare you to call the first person in your contacts and tell them you love them!" he told me. 

"That's a nice one, bro!" They gave him a tap on the shoulder. 

I smirked. "Sure. Sure!" Inilabas ko na ang cellphone ko at pumunta sa aking contact list. 

Aaron is the first person in my contacts. Of course it's him. Makes sense, since my contacts are arranged alphabetically. 

"So, who's the lucky person?" they eagerly asked me. 

"It's Aaron, everyone!" masayang sigaw ko at ipinakita sa kanila ang screen ng phone ko. Nagsihiyawan naman sila.
