Chapter 25

Nandito kami ngayon sa classroom, hinihintay na dumating ang teacher namin.

Here I am, playing with my pencil to pass the time. Napahinto naman ako nang marinig kong magsalita si Faith. Kausap niya si Lia.

"Aaron doesn't even hang out with me anymore. He's always busy," I heard her say.

"Preparing for his entrance exam?" tanong naman ni Lia.

"Yeah. He practically lives in the library now. He's slowly becoming a nerd." She chuckled. "Should I break up with him? It's getting boring, you know. I don't like getting bored."

Nagpanting ang aking tainga dahil sa narinig. Is she freaking serious right now?

"Girl, you're so cruel," natatawang komento naman ni Lia. "Go ahead and break up with him if you want to. I actually feel bad for him. You're a witch," she jokingly added, making Faith laugh out loud.

Aba't tuwang-tuwa pa talaga ang gaga.

"Aaron is very easy to replace. There are many guys out there. I can get whoever I want," Faith stated in a very annoying tone. "Should I just seduce Caleb? I feel like he's more interesting. He's like a mystery. I want to know more about him," she continued, followed by a giggle.

That's it. I just lost it. Ano raw? Aaron is easy to replace?

Sa sobrang panggigigil ko, hindi ko napansin na nabali ko na pala ang hawak kong lapis. It created a loud noise. Gulat na napalingon sa akin ang mga nakarinig --- including Faith, of course.

I glared at her when our eyes met. Pinapakulo ng babaeng 'to ang dugo ko.

"What the hell is your problem?" tanong niya at mahinang tumawa. I can tell that she's a little scared.

"Nothing," mataray na tugon ko at tinignan siya mula ulo hanggang paa.

Nag-iwas naman na siya ng tingin at tumikhim. Natakot yata. Gustong-gusto ko siyang sabunutan, so totoo lang. Pero dahil nasa classroom kami at pwedeng dumating ang teacher namin anytime soon, nagpipigil ako.

You know what, forget about what I said na hindi ko ugali ang manladi ng boyfriend ng iba. I'm gonna freaking steal Aaron from her. She doesn't deserve him anyway. I'll do anything to make him fall for me. No one can stop me --- not even the author of Serendipity!

When lunch time finally came, I went outside the school to buy a cup of fruit shake and a chocolate bar. And then I headed straight to the library. I heard from other students that Aaron is here, studying.

Bago pumasok, sumilip muna ako sa bintana. And there, I saw him concentrating very hard. I noticed that he was wearing glasses. Oh, my God! He looks so good in those glasses. Napatakip ako ng bibig. I bet he looks good in everything.
