Lou's POV:

That same night we drove to the airport and got on a 13-hour flight to Dubai. If there is something that I'm horrible at,  it is sleeping on a flight, but Debbie was out in a matter of seconds. Which left me to distract myself with the small selection of movies the airline provided. I don't understand though, we have the money to buy ourselves a first-class ticket but here I am in economy.

13 long hours later, we arrived in Dubai, what a city. From the taxi window, I was able to see all the humongous buildings, everything was modern and beautiful. I thought New York and California were advanced but this is another level of extraordinary.
"Wow!" Debbie says, gazing through the window. "I know. Can we just stay here forever?" I reply in amazement.
"I would not complain,"

When we arrived at our hotel, we got the most amazing service I've ever received, I almost felt like a celebrity for a second. Walking in, we noticed the hotel was underwater. The walls and ceiling were all glass, meaning that you could see all the marine animals swimming around you. I'm not much of an animal person, but with this, I am on my way to becoming one. As soon as we each walked into our rooms, we had a single bed, a mini table, a bathroom, and of course a beautiful view of the sea life. After we settled in, we decided to be tourists for the day. We walked by the Burj Khalifa as we looked for a restaurant by the water. We found one, named Time Out. It overlooked the ocean and in the distance, you could see the huge buildings and the amazing city of Dubai. We ordered shrimp, lobster, and lasagna. I'm not sure if I was starving or what but it was the best meal I've ever had. We spent the rest of the day shopping at the Dubai mall, which is supposed to be the biggest mall in the world. We shopped for the rest of the day. Walking into stores like Gucci, Balenciaga, Louis Vuitton, Prada, and so many more. I finally felt rich.

After a long day of travel and shopping, we decided to head back to the hotel. We sat on the circular wooden table and discussed the official plan to steal all the gold. This was the first time I actually heard the full detailed run down. It is crazy how much trust I put into Debbie for this one, desperation was also part of it.
"Did you see the Dubai museum?" Debbie asks.
"The one next to the mall, no?""Yes exactly, that one," Debbie says excitedly.
"So what's the big plan?"
"Tuesday, we rob the museum."
"Alright, I understand that. But how?" I was starting to get impatient. "We go in as normal guests, no one will suspect anything. However, we must change our appearance. Because if someone sees our faces they will immediately know it was us."
"Yes, especially if that police friend of your family gets assigned again."
"Not a friend, but I get your point," Debbie says with a smirk on her face. "Okay, so in the museum, there is a section called "all the gold, '' Debbie continues with the plan. " There are a bunch of gold pieces there but we don't want those, we need the ones in the room, secretly kept away. There is one specific security guard there, he never leaves, but as soon as he does we go in and get the gold.""Okay, but how will we make him leave? And then get the gold? Are there no cameras?" I had a million questions.
"He gets a 10-minute break at 12:30 pm, for lunch. We have from 12:30 to 12:40 on the dot to pull this off. There is a camera, but we will get nine ball, all the way from New York to disconnect it. She will also help us hack the system in the room."
"Nine ball?"
"Yes"
"I thought it was just us," I say, kind of disappointed.
"You really thought  we could pull this off alone?" "Okay, continue."
"Nine ball will disconnect all the cameras at that exact time, making them think that there was a power shortage. There is a small door, left of the room, that is where we want to go."
"What is in the room?" I ask.
"Gold kept from the Incas, it is worth billions""Isn't there any security in the room?"
"No, but there are a bunch of passwords we must get through,"
"Which nine ball will take care of," I say in understandment.
"Exactly," Debbie proudly nods her head.
"Wow, okay this sounds so easy."
"It honestly is, security here sucks," Debbie says as she leans back on the chair. "And what will we do until Tuesday?" I ask.
"What are you already tired of me?"
"Actually yes," I say, standing up and heading for my room.
