Go Time

Debbie's POV:

Tuesday came along faster than I imagined. We spent the last couple of days enjoying the wonderful city of Dubai. One day we even went to Atlantis, which is a huge world-known water park. We had a lot of fun, it had been years since Lou and I just hung out, as normal people with no plan of stealing anything. I've also realized there is something that Lou is afraid of, heights. It was incredibly funny watching her struggle getting up one of the water slides, a sight that I will never forget or never stop making fun of her for.

As soon as we woke up, we started with the plan. We bought prosthetic noses, chins, and even fake boobs to make ourselves look different so the cameras wouldn't recognize us. Lou was wearing a short ginger wig, a white tight dress, fake circular glasses, and a fake nose. She looked absolutely ridiculous. I was wearing a black long skirt, black tights, and a blue shirt displaying my fake boobs. On my head was a black long curly wig and a fake nose piercing that actually looked good. Honestly, we were unrecognizable. Once we got ready, we headed to the Dubai museum. We also made sure to call nine ball before we left the hotel to make sure everything was working smoothly.
"I have all the cameras and security codes under control," Nine ball says through the phone. "Thank you" I reply back.
"Yeah, next time take me with you instead of leaving me here in New York you bastards."
"Stop complaining," Lou replies back as we hang up the phone.

"Remember when you hated Nine ball?" Lou asks.
"I never hated her," I say defensively. "Yeah you did, you didn't trust her." Lou prods me with her finger.
"Oh, shut up,"

We arrived at the gigantic Dubai museum and bought our tickets using the fake IDs Nine Ball made for us. We handed the guy our ID and waited a couple of minutes as he scanned through our names - Athena and Victoria. "Stop. I didn't know we would have fake names," Lou protested as we walk into the museum.
"You really think I can walk in here as Debby ocean?"
"Yeah, Athena" Lou makes fun of me. "Why did you pick such a lame name?"
"At least it's better than Victoria" I respond back. "Who chose the names?" Lou asks, confused.
"Nine Ball" reply back. 
"Wait, I came looking for you the day before we came here. Why did you already have my ID ready?"
"I knew you would eventually come looking for a job Lou,"
"Debbie,"
"I knew that this job was one I wanted to do with you,"
"Aw, you were thinking of me," she says sarcastically.
"No, I trust you can do a good job when it comes to being a criminal."

We walked around for a little bit waiting for the time to be 12:30. My pulse was rising, I was really nervous. The truth is, I didn't just come here for the gold, I came here for my brother, Danny. Before he disappeared, this was what he wanted to do. This plan was all he dreamed of, and he was going to pull it off. But before he did, he was gone. I am still not sure if he is dead, or if he went somewhere else, but I am doing this for him. Lou doesn't know this either, but if she finds out she is 100% beating me up.

"Athena, it's 12:25 we should get going!" Lou calls from across the room, I could tell she was making fun of my name.
I look straight at her almost annoyed, "Victoria I'm going to -"
"Buy me a burger," She finishes off my sentence. She was pleased with herself.
"Let's just go," I say, shaking it off.
We started heading for the "all that gold" section. From a mile away you can see how bright all the pieces were shining. Wow, we were both mesmerized by how beautiful it was.
"Can't we steal all of this too?" Lou whispers, looking through the glass.
"Like last time. Remember how we managed to get all the other necklaces." I say feeling nostalgic. "Exactly," she says, running her fingers through the glass.
"Yeah, but we can't, they would notice," I say slipping right back into reality.

Minutes later, we saw the security guard walk out of the room.
"Yall ready?" Nine ball calls out through our earpieces.
We have 10 minutes.
"Go time," Nine ball whispers excitedly.
