Debbie's POV:

A week later, we received an unexpected call from Tammy.
"Tammy, it's 4 am," I say with a sleepy voice as Lou looks at me confused.
"Debbie, where are you?" Tammy asks through the phone, "I've been looking for you all over New York. I even went to your house a couple of times but you were never there."
"I'm in Bali,"
"Why are you in Bali?"
"Why wouldn't I be in Bali?"
"Are you alone?" Tammy asks.
"No. Tammy, what is going on?" I ask, wanting her to get to the point already.
"Who are you with?"
"Is that important?" I ask while looking at Lou laying next to me.
"You have to get back to New York right now!" She practically screams through the phone.
"What?" I say, still half asleep.
"The police came to my house today. Claude is framing it all on us. We are going to jail if we do nothing about it."
"What?" I instantly sit up on the bed, Lou still looking at me confused.
"They say that the fingerprints left on the diamond belong to Dauphney which later connected all of us together," she explains. "I already spoke with Constance, Amita, Dauphne, and Nine ball but I can't get a hold of Lou. Do you know anything about her? The last thing we all heard was that she was in Las Vegas."
"I will tell Lou about it," I say looking at her sitting next to me.
"Do you know where she is?" Tammy asks. "Have you guys kept contact?"
"Ummm" I was unsure whether to say anything or not. "She's with me". I say looking at Lou wondering whether she wanted me to say anything about it.
"You are with Lou?" Tammy asks, surprised. "As in you guys traveled together? Are in a relationship together, or are you just in the same place?"
"Hey Tammy" Lou jumps in with her deep hushed voice that screams ''I just woke up".
"Lou?" Tammy replies still confused.
"We are together as in we are in each other's presence," Lou replies.
"Okay, I need you both to come back to New York. What are you even doing in Bali?"
"Too many questions Tam," Deb says.
"Just get here!"

"We are fucked," Lou says, laying her head back on the pillow.
"How are we going to explain the fingerprints?"
"I liked Bali," Lou says disappointed, "I didn't want to leave so soon."
"We are coming back here," I said confidently.
"One day" Lou replies, closing her eyes to fall back to sleep.
"One day after we get out of jail," I joke with her, hitting her arm so she doesn't fall asleep.
"We are not going to jail, and if we do, we will escape it."
"I tried, trust me. It's impossible to leave that hell."
"I could do it," Lou says, winking at me.
"Sure you could," I roll my eyes. "At least we would be together," I say laying down.
"We would," she hugs me and together we drift off back to sleep.
