Lou's POV:

Early the next morning we both got up and went to a small boat market located 15 minutes away from the villa. We heard it was one of the most touristic spots in Bali, but also Danny loved food so it's a safe bet he had been there before. The place was huge, bigger than I expected. It was a large lake that held several food stands all around. In order to get to them, you had to rent a small wooden kayak and row to the food stand of your choice.

"This looks interesting," Debbie says, looking at all the food stands.
"Unless we fall in the water," I point out.
"Why do you always get so negative?"
"I am just realistic," I say as I start heading towards one of the boats.
"I will never understand, we are millionaires and yet we are getting on a small boat to buy some apples from across the lake."
"What a luxurious life," I reply back sarcastically.
We got on the boat, we barely fit in and started rowing. I was sitting behind Debbie, my legs wrapped around her body.
"Stop doing it so fast," I say to Debbie. "Water is coming in and getting my pants wet."
"Then come closer to me," she replies, extending her arm to grab my legs.
Our whole bodies were touching now, we became one.
I started getting butterflies all around my body, I wasn't sure why but I was nervous all of the sudden.

"Which stand do you want to go first?" Debbie asks.
"We can go get those veggie burgers, they sound fantastic," I reply.
"Burgers for breakfast," she says, turning around to look at me. We were so close, our noses almost touching. I could feel her breath on me.
"Yes, who said burgers wasn't a  breakfast food," I say trying to avoid the fact that my blood was running a hundred miles an hour.
"Okay sure," she says, starting to row again. We sat there in silence.
"Two veggie burgers please," Debbie says to the young lady selling the burgers.
There was an area, clear of the stands, where you could go eat. There was nothing but people on boats eating, and a beautiful view of the Bali mountains.
"Do you actually think Danny could be here?" Debby asks as she opens the burger wrap. She looks up again, right into my eyes, "do you think he could actually be alive?"
"I don't know Deb" I reply with sincerity. "I wish I could tell you, or help you but I have no clue."
We sat in silence for a while both enjoying the delicious veggie burger.
"Thanks for coming," Debbie says with a smile across her face.
I smiled back, our eyes locked, our hearts danced.
"You know Deb," I start. "If you want, we can move here, open a food stand and become Bali surfer girls." I joke.
"What would we sell?" she asks.
"Maybe some tacos?" I jokingly reply.
We laugh.
"What is the plan?" I ask in a serious tone.
"I think that if Danny is alive, and hasn't called me, he never will."
"What do you mean Deb?"
"If he wanted to see me, he would have called. But he didn't."
"Maybe he is just hiding."
"That's not Danny. He isn't afraid," she replies as she looks at the landscape around us.
"So," I say, trying to figure out what's next.
"I say we enjoy Bali for a while, and then get back to normal life."
"In crusty New York," I say.
"Will you go back to Las Vegas?" Debbie asks.
"You trying to get rid of me Deb?" I say with a smirk on my face.
"Never." She replies sarcastically.
