I woke up about 8 hours later turns out I was going to be able to sleep I quickly check my phone and see it is officially my birthday, no longer 15 and I will be able to drive in a few moths all is good and I can't complain.

I walk out feeling better than earlier and go to check on my patient from the excessivly long surgery." Hey Mr Collins, how are we feeling" I say cheerfully.
" Alright, Dr grey" He says back watching his TV " do you know how to get anything good on this TV if you know what I mean" He continues," no I'm sorry I don't know what you mean sir but I just need to do some routine checks and I will send a nurse into your room to see what you meaning say smiling at him,"  all done, thank you Mr Collins" I say leaning the room.

I walk to the nurses station and tell them that Mr Collins has requested some assistance.i walk down to the canteen to grab some food when meredith pages me." Son of a gun" I say as there are many younger children around.

As I walk through into the attendings lounge, I see meredith on a computer doing research for something." You know there are other interns" I say sitting down in a chair," yeh but most of them are annoying" meredith says not looking up from her research.

meredith doesn't say anything to me for  a good half an hour so I fall asleep in the chair." Wake up, yang wants you for a surgery" meredith says poking me. I swat her hand away and groan before walking out.

" Dr yang, you wanted me" I say quietly as I can never tell what mood she is in.
" Yes you are going to lead a valve replacement, I will be in the or but you are in charge" she says." I'm a first year and you're letting me lead" I say shocked." That's what I said now go get familiar with everything I will see you in the or in an hour" she says handing me material and leaving me stunned.

I walk into the locker room and slide down my locker open the file yang gave me some of the other interns that I can't remember the names of. Well I would have remembered if I actually bothered to learn. Anyway I get back to reading my file.

" What you up to" lexie say sliding down the locker beside me.i rest my head on her shoulder and proceed to say" going over some materials yang gave me for my solo surgery". Lexie rests her head upon mine" what's the surgery" she say calmly."A valve replacement,I need to go up to the patient in a minute" I say still scanning the file." Happy birthday by the way, and  your doing better than me if your allowed to lead a valve replacement,I mean yang must have alot of faith in you" lexie say stumbling over her words." I'll see you later" I say put our forheads together, this was just something we always did.

"Well hello, benji how are you today" I say smiling, benji is a 7 year old boy he is a very good patient let's me do all the test and when I'm on my breaks he somehow manages to get me to come and play board games with him. I look up and see a older boy who I haven't seen before, he looks about 16 possibly 17." Hi, sorry I didn't see you there, lily, sorry, Dr grey" I say becoming flustered but I don't think he noticed, this was the first time the boys eyes had met mine they were an icy blue, his hair a jet black, " well lily, Dr grey, I'm rider, rider black I don't believe we have met" He say taking a step forward," ugh, stop flirting with my doctor" I here benji say from in the background, but I can't bring myself to take my eyes of this guy that stands before me.

I here someone cough from behind me, I quickly turn around and see yang, " you ready," she says and I nod as I feel my cheeks turn the same colour as a rose." See you in the or in five " she say before leaving and taking benji down with her." So lily how old are you" he say giving me a look of admiration." I'm 16," I say the colour still in my cheeks," well I have to go do your brothers surgery, but I will let you know how it goes" I continue before leaving the room.wow I think to my self.
