It has been 10 weeks since benjis death, I haven't seen rider since the funeral which was 9 weeks ago he has ignored all of my calls and his parents have blocked me on everything, I have nearly shut everyone out at home and I avoid them at work, but I deal with it in my own way.
" Lily," I here lexie call as she come down the hallway toward me.
" sorry lex I have to go see one of my patients" I say trying to leave but she grabs my arm.
" no, no you don't, you have been avoiding me for weeks and not just me but everyone, you can't shut me out,"she says dragging me to an on call room.
" lexie I have to go," I respond reaching for the door.
" fine I'll talk to you when you get home," she yells after me.
I walk into the room greated by someone I didn't think I would see at the hospital again," dad what are you doing here," I say shocked paging lexie our 911 code.

He explains why he is here then a blond bimbo walks in and kisses him making lexie and I gag.
"excuse me, who are you." I ask the thing that walked in.
" I'm his girlfriend, who are you" she Questions giving me the stink eye
" I'm his daughter, and this is his other daughter" I say briefly looking at lexie before snapping my head back to my father.
" where's your pain," lexie says death glaring them both.
He points to his abdomen before Bailey walks in with meredith.
" ahh meredith," he says wincing.

" off course he is rejecting the liver its my liver it was bound to happen,"Meredith rants as the 4 of us sit on a gurney in the tunnels.
" what is he thinking a tated up 20 something year old I mean she is younger than lexie it's not right," I rant resting my head on lexies shoulder.
" can we talk now," she wispers in my ear before standing up and dragging me down the hall.
" bye then," meredith and Alex yell after us.
She drags me to an on call room and pushes me down on a bed before sitting down next to me," you didn't give me an option," I say sarcastically before placing my head in her lap facing up to her.
" if I had give given you an option, you would have said no so..." she mutters," you keep avoiding me," she says looking me in the eyes.
"I know, I'm sorry,but I've been avoiding everyone" I say breaking the eye contact.
"why, you were fine and then after the funeral you became a shell of what you used to be," lexie says tears brimming her eyes
"I have seen rider for 9 weeks, so I'm pretty sure my relationship is over," I say sighing at what I'm admitting.
" is that all, because I've heard your breathing at night from my room," she mumbles worryingly.
" I can't close my eyes without being back in the closet during the shooting, I'm so tired if everything," I mutter breaking itno tears.
" you should've come to me, I can help you," she says running her fingers through my hair cause my eyes to become heavy and start to close.

I awake with a jolt causing lexie to open her eyes as well, I check my watch and check the time, I was asleep for 4 hours that the longest I've slept since the shooting, but I guess that all good things come to an end I go to try to close my eyes but lexie and I are both paged to our fathers room.we get up jogging down the halls into the room
"You paged us," I say to Bailey
"Yes, he isn't rejecting the liver, it's just kidney stones, but I think you two should sort some things out before returning to work." She states before swiftly exiting through the door.
"So" my father mumbles.
" so" lexie and I say in unison.
"This is Danielle," he say pointing to his thing or whatever you want to call it.
"And this is inappropriate," I say pointing between them before I feel my phone vibrate in my pocket," I'm sorry I have to take this," I say seeing that it is rider.
Phone call
L, hey baby.
R, hi,umm.
L, how are you.
R, I'm good but that's not why I called.
L, oh okay, what's up.
R, can you meet me in the parking lot in 5 minutes, I need to tell you something.
L, ok I'll see you in a minute, love you.
R,ok, love you too.
He hangs up very abruptly, causing a look of confusion to flash across my face.
"I have to go meet someone but I will be back to finish this conversation in abit, lexie will you walk with me," I say giving Danielle a dirty look.we walk out the room.
"So who was on the phone," she say prodding my arm.
"Rider, I'm going to meet him in the parking lot now and I didn't think it was a good idea to leave you and his lord ship alone," I laugh as I say the last bit.
"Ok, call me if you need me," she says standing on the bridge looking over the floor of the hospital and out to the parking lot.

As I go to step out of the hospital doors I notice it is raining, great the day I don't have a coat well I guess I've just got to suck it up. I see rider flash his light at me, so I jog over to his pick up truck.
" Hey," he says his eyes not meeting mine.
" hi, you said you wanted to talk," I respond quietly.
" um yeah, I love you but I think it's best if we umm if we break up," he says finally bringing his gaze to mine, he carefully cups my face in his hand pulling me in for one last time," I'm sorry," he says starting his car and driving off leaving me in the rain with tears streaming down my face. I feel my legs give way beneath me I fall almost in slow motion to the ground, I hear someone running towards me and feel them pulling me into them as the join me on the floor as I silently son into their chest in the middle of the parking lot in the pouring rain.
