Kacey is now three years old. Betty and Jughead are 22 and are both working part-time, each taking turns taking care of Kacey. Betty would take Kacey to pre-school on Tuesday and Thursday mornings while Jughead picked her up Tuesday and Thursday afternoons. Kacey looked like her mom with Jughead's eyes and nose. Everyone commented on how Kacey looked like her mom with Jughead's eyes. Betty was also starting to show. She was four months pregnant with Kacey's baby brother or sister. Today Betty is getting an ultrasound to find out the gender of the baby. Jughead and Betty brought Kacey to FP's apartment so he could watch her while they were at Betty's appointment.

Time Skip to the appointment:

"Okay. Do you guys want to know the gender today?" The doctor asked.

"Yes, we do." Betty smiled.

"Okay. Well, you see that there?" The doctor said pointing to the screen.

"Yeah." Betty replied.

"Well, that means you're having a boy. Congratulations, Mr. and Mrs. Jones." The doctor said.

"Did you hear that Juggie? We're having a boy. Kacey's going to have a baby brother." Betty gushed.

"Yeah. Congratulations Mrs. Jones." Jughead said and kissed Betty.

"Congratulations to you too Mr. Jones." Betty said kissing Jughead.

"Okay. Everything seems to be going well right now. So you're free to go." The doctor said.

"Thank you so much." Jughead said, shaking the doctor's hand.

"My pleasure. Now, Mrs. Jones, you know what you can't do during pregnancy correct?" The doctor asked.

"Of course I do. This isn't the first time we've gotten pregnant." Betty laughed.

"Good. I expect you back here next month to check up on the baby." The doctor said.

"Of course." Betty said.

"Betty, we should get going so we can pick up Kacey from my dad's place." Jughead said.

"Right." Betty said.

When Betty and Jughead got to FP's apartment Kacey ran to the door to greet them.

"Mommy! Daddy!" Kacey squealed.

"Hi, kiddo!" Jughead exclaimed as he lifted Kacey up and spun her around.

"Hi, baby girl." Betty said.

"Did you have a good time with grandpa, Kacey?" Jughead asked.

"Yeah." Kacey said smiling her adorable little gap-toothed grin.

"Yeah? What did you and grandpa do while Mommy and Daddy were gone huh?" Jughead asked laughing as Kacey pulled his beanie off of his head.

"We watched Frozen for the hundredth time." FP exaggerated.

"Oh did you? Did you drive grandpa crazy singing all the words in the songs?" Betty asked Kacey.

"She didn't drive me crazy. I thought it was adorable that she knew all the words." FP said laughing.

"Well, that sounds like a fun day. Kacey, guess what? You're going to be the big sister of a baby brother. Isn't that exciting?" Betty asked.

"No." Kacey's gap-toothed grin quickly turned into a frown.

"No? Why not baby girl?" Jughead asked her.

"Do you and mommy not love me anymore?" Kacey asked Jughead.

"Of course we love you, Kacey. We love you with all our hearts. Our love is just going to be shared with your baby brother." Jughead said.

"Are you and daddy not happy with me anymore?" Kacey asked Betty.

"Of course, we're happy with you baby girl. We're just adding more joy into our lives. Just wait, as soon as your brother gets here you're going to love him." Betty said.

"Promise you won't stop loving me?" Kacey said sticking out her pinky for a pinky promise.

"I promise baby girl." Betty said, lacing her pinky with Kacey's.

Kacey unlaced her pinky from Betty's and held it out for Jughead.

"I promise too, baby girl." Jughead said and laced his pinky with Kacey's.

Kacey was tired and started yawning. Betty suggested to Jughead that they head home, have some dinner and get Kacey down for the night. Jughead agreed so they all said their goodbyes and went home.

As soon as dinner was done and Kacey was washed up, Jughead got Kacey into her pajamas, read to her, and even sang to her before she fell asleep for the night. It had been a long night, and as soon as Jughead got into his and Betty's room he saw Betty laying on the bed reading a book. He couldn't help but smile. He changed into a soft pair of shorts for the night and took his crown beanie off before climbing into bed beside Betty. Jughead was so tired that he fell asleep as soon as his head hit the pillow. Betty quietly laughed to herself and turned out the light. She kissed the top of Jughead's forehead and fell asleep beside him.
