After months of trying to figure out what was going to happen to the town, Jughead and Betty finally figured it out. They were shocked when they figured out who is behind the plot to destroy the town.

"So the only logical culprit... is Archie?" Betty asked Jughead.

"I guess so. But we still need to figure out a motive." Jughead told her.

"Didn't Veronica file for divorce because Archie was abusing Victoria?" Betty asked.

"Yeah. And didn't she get custody of Victoria too?" Jughead asked.

"Yeah." Betty said.

"Then we need to figure out how he would do it." Jughead said.

"Yeah. How would he destroy the town? What would he have access to in order to do that?" Betty asked.

"That's the mystery that we still need to solve." Jughead said.

"Yeah. I just can't believe that Archie would do this. His family is one of the founding families of Riverdale." Betty said, eyes filling with tears.

"I know. Come here." Jughead said pulling Betty in for a hug and letting her cry into his chest. He didn't care that his shirt was getting wet with her tears. She needed him right now so he would do anything to help her.

"It's going to be okay. We're going to stop him before our town is destroyed." Jughead said, stroking his fingers through Betty's hair.

Betty's breathing slowly started to calm down. She was gently shuddering and started to yawn. Jughead sat down with her and kept stroking his fingers through her hair. He also rubbed her back to help console her. Betty eventually fell asleep in his lap with her head on his chest. Kacey came out of her room and came downstairs to get a snack. Jughead saw her and put his finger to his lips to signal her to be quiet since her mother was sleeping. Kacey understood and quietly grabbed something from the kitchen and went back up to her room. Betty continued to sleep in Jughead's lap. Jughead let her sleep because he knew that she was exhausted from trying to figure out who was going to do this and why. His legs eventually fell asleep and he lifted up Betty, carried her bridal style up to their room and laid her in their bed. So she would be able to sleep more comfortably. He went to check on Kacey and Collin in their respective rooms. Collin was taking a nap and was sleeping soundly. Kacey was reading a book and eating her snack. Jughead knew he had the perfect family with Betty and the kids. It was thanks to Betty that he wasn't that socially awkward person anymore. He had full confidence in himself now. His kids loved him so much and he loved them with all his heart. He had the three most perfect people in his life in this house. He was living so much better now than when he was living on the Southside as a kid and as a teenager. He was living on the Northside now. It wasn't perfect, but what neighborhood is? Especially in a town that was about to have something awful done to it if he and Betty didn't stop it. But that was a worry for another day. He loved his life, he loved his wife, and he loved his kids. That's what was important to him right now. Jughead eventually noticed the time. He noticed that it was five o'clock in the afternoon. He decided to start making dinner. He made spaghetti and meatballs for everyone. He made sure to have the garlic bread made before he set the table. He knew that he and Betty would end up having garlic breath but at least it would be both of them and not just one. It wouldn't stop him from kissing her that night.

Jughead went up to the bedrooms and let everyone know that dinner was ready.

"Collin. Time to wake up buddy. It's supper time. It's spaghetti and meatballs tonight." Jughead said gently shaking Collin to get him to wake up. Collin slowly woke up and stretched.

Jughead went to Kacey's told her to come down for dinner. She said okay and put her book down. Jughead then went to his and Betty's room to wake Betty up for dinner.

"Betts. Honey. It's time to wake up. I have dinner ready." Jughead said gently shaking her.

Betty just groaned and turned over onto her chest to keep sleeping. Jughead knew she was tired but he also knew that she had to be hungry too.

"Come on Betty. The kids are already heading down to eat. We need you to come down too." Jughead said.

Betty groaned again but she said that she would be down in just a minute. Jughead didn't want to pressure her to hurry up so he left her alone and went down to the kitchen.

Betty hadn't wanted to worry Jughead so she said she would be down in a minute, but what she didn't tell him was that there was something she needed to do first.

*Trigger warning*

Betty hadn't done this in years. But she felt the need to cut her wrists. She went into the bathroom that was connected to their bedroom and grabbed her razor. She started to cut near the scars she had from when she had cut as a teenager. She cried but the pain melted away. She felt a lot better after doing that. She grabbed the bandages and wrapped her arms after she put medicine on the cuts. She cleaned up her face that had been stained with her tears. She put on her concealer and went downstairs.

"Hey, Betty." Jughead said and kissed her lips. He noticed a salty taste to them as if she had just been crying.

"Hey. So what's for dinner?" Betty asked.

"Spaghetti and meatballs. We also have garlic bread to dip in the sauce if you want." Jughead said. He didn't want to ask her if she had been crying because if she wanted to talk about it she would.

"That sounds delicious Juggie. Thank you." She said and sat down on the other side of Kacey.

Later...

Jughead put Kacey to bed while Betty put Collin down for bed.

Betty was done first so she went into the bathroom and cleaned off her concealer and found that her face had gone back to normal and there was no trace of tears. She noticed that her bandages were starting to bleed through so she took them off, reapplied the medicine and wrapped fresh bandages around her arms. She balled up the old bandages so that the blood wouldn't show and that Jughead wouldn't see it. Then she went back into their bedroom. She got ready for bed and laid down and tried to get some sleep. Jughead came in a minute later and saw that Betty was already asleep so he quietly got ready for bed and laid down beside her. He fell asleep quickly and dreamt of Betty that night.
