The next day you were one jump away from skipping all the way to work. Dare you say you were actually happy and excited for this job. You felt that maybe this job would be easier than the others, and that you might even be good at it. You walked through the front office, up the elevator and into the dwelling of the infamous Jo Jonah Jameson.

"Good morning sir! How are you today?" you greeted him smiling. "Rule number 1: No smiling this early in the morning. Especially not at me. What kind of psychopath is happy to be in here working at 9am?" he ordered, mumbling the end to himself.

You were caught with your mouth agape, once again not knowing what to say to him. "Just excited for the job sir," you concluded, no longer smiling but still, oddly, quite happy. You didn't understand yourself why you were happy. You never felt like this on the first day of your other jobs.

It was a strange but...likeable feeling that you hoped wouldn't fade too soon. "I sure as hell amn't. Enough chat we've already wasted 24 seconds. First order of business! Today is the 1 year anniversary of Spider-Man's disappearance. We're gonna write a paper on how we've readjusted without that Spider-Menace. I need you to take as many pictures of this city, showing that New York is THRIVING without him."

"You...want me to take pictures against Spider-Man?" you asked him, your happy mood dissolving into your regular, indifferent one. "Gotta problem with that? What are you a fanatic or something? Got a little crush?" He asked, fiddling his pen between his fingers. "The man's been gone for 12 months now, get over it. And get me those pictures," he demanded while pointing to the door of his office.

A heavy breath exuded from your chest before you turned to leave. On your way out of Mr Jameson's office you caught a glimpse of a news headline hanging on the wall, with Spider-Man on the front cover. At the bottom left corner there was a name, 'Peter Parker'. "Sir, can I ask...who's Peter Parker?" you mumbled just loud enough to get his attention.

He looked up from the money he was counting and right at you. "Can I ask, why the hell are you speaking to me without my photographs?" He said almost yelling. Your eyebrows creased before you quickly turned back to the door and left. Damn this guy was a pain in the ass. Well you'd better get to work then.

You took a bus through New York, taking a bunch of random stops where you would look for inspirational moments to capture. So far all you had were pictures of pigeons eating garbage, a picture of a park, and a young woman helping an old lady walk down the street which was actually pretty sweet.

This task started to feel slightly hopeless. New York wasn't exactly a beacon of happiness and togetherness. You continued scanning the city, looking through the lense of your camera. When you saw a red and blue shape atop a statue, you're eyebrows furrowed in confusion. "That...can't be..." You mumbled to yourself, looking away from your camera for a second.

You quickly brought it back up to your eye and zoomed in. Your jaw quickly dropped to the floor and you couldn't believe your eyes. You began taking a flurry of pictures of what you saw, over excited in the moment, forgetting you're low on storage.

By the time it was nightfall you returned to the Daily Bugle to show your pictures to Mr. Jameson. "Crap. Crap. Garbage. Utter crap. Rubbish. " he muttered scanning through them very quickly before throwing them on the table. "Why'd you bring me this trash?" he asked you, crossing his leg over the other and laying his elbow on the armrests of his chair.

"Uh-... Well I thought the picture of the pigeons would kinda show how they're like...mascots of New York or something like that, you know?" you defended, in the most non-threatening tone you could muster. He looked at you unimpressed. "And you know, the young woman helping her senior, I'd say that's a pretty good sign that New York is healing, and that we're doing well without Spider-Man."
