You walked out of Mr. Jameson's office with a new assignment when you saw your friend, Peter Parker. Pleasantly surprised, you walked up to him and said hey. "Hey Y/n I was hoping I'd bump into you here," he told you, a smile on his face. "Oh, really? What for?" you replied smiling back. Peter was caught with his mouth agape, unsure of what to say. "Actually, I don't know. I think I just...wanted to hang out, with you...or something," he awkwardly said.

"Oh, sure we can hang out!" you exclaimed. "I've got nothing waiting for me at home and Jameson's assignments can wait."

"Cool! Awesome. Uh how about we go to the city? We can window shop and people watch or whatever," he suggested, sliding his hands into his pocket. "Yeah that sounds cool. We can actually get to know each other outside of Spider-Man," you replied, prompting a light chuckle from Peter. "So you wanna head out now?" he asked. You agreed and the two of you left the Bugle together.

Cut to a few hours later. You both had spent the entire day with each other. It was now sunset. The orange sky created a magnificent glow in the plaza. "Wait, in the middle of the yard?" you exclaimed. "In the middle of the yard! It was out of nowhere, I mean I thought I was an outcast in highschool but compared to that kid I might as well have been the king of the school," he replied, letting his hand fall onto his lap.

"Damn, this Flash guy sounds like a piece of shit," you said, furrowing your eyebrows. "He was. Everyone was afraid of him. He was all bark and no bite though," Peter said while smiling to himself. You chuckled and replied, "Still, I don't think I would've been able to survive in your school."

"Yeah, it was definitely tough. Where did you go to school?" Peter inquired.

"Ah, I was homeschooled."

"Homeschooled? That's awesome I always wanted to be homeschooled!"

"It's not as great as you think," you replied smacking your lips. "It's cool at first cause you get to play more video games and spend more time with your mom and stuff. But then you realise you're missing out on making friends and having a social life. Most of your contact with the outside world comes from a digital screen."

"Oh..." Peter mumbled, breaking the silence. "Kinda sounds like you were trapped or something." You smiled, trying to reassure him. "Don't worry it wasn't that bad. Ha. ...The weird thing is I don't remember a lot of it..." you muttered to yourself, trying to recall your past. When you really thought about it, you couldn't remember a lot of your childhood. Was your memory that bad?

Snapping you out of your thoughts, Peter said, "Don't worry about it. I don't remember most of my childhood either," he lied, an attempt to make you feel better. "Heh... Who needs to remember childhoods anyway, right? I'm sure mine was as basic as any other kid's,"  you replied. Peter agreed. He noticed it was getting late and suggested he walk you home.

So the two of you did. On the way, Peter notice that you were preoccupied by something. What could have been thinking about?
