White. Everything, white. No - blank. Everything was blank. Where were you? Who were you? Who are you? What happened to you? Why were you in this empty space?
You looked up and down and left and right. Nothing to be seen. You turned. You kept turning until you saw...you? A little far away but still noticeable. Was it some kind of mirror? It would have been easier to tell had it not been for the lack of sheen or reflective properties in what you weren't completely certain was a mirror.
You moved your right hand upwards in a 'hello' type motion, watching the reflection do the same. You walked over to it and watched as it repeated your movements exactly. As it became closer and closer you stopped. You were just a metre apart. You continued inspecting it, looking at the different features of your face. Your eyes, your hair, your skin. They've been through tough times, and it showed. You try not to hate yourself for it.
"Boo!" The reflection whispered, catching you completely off guard. You jolted back in fear and surprise, but most of all confusion. "Well if it isn't my better half. Or should I say, lamer half," it said. "Your better half? What? What do you mean?"
"You haven't figured it out yet? Damn I guess I got all the smarts," it mocked, crossing its arms over each other. "What are you talking about? Where are we?" You asked. Trying to make it explain to you. Your reflection let out a heavy sigh and said, "We're in your brain. Or your mind, or your spirit, or your essence, I don't know whatever you wanna call it. Whatever your interpretation of self is, that's what we're in. I am your cooler, but by definition, worse half," it explained. You were able to keep up with what it said but didn't understand how you got there.
"Usually people don't have their better and worse half split up like this. We have Elise to thank for that," it stated. You raised an eyebrow. "Elise...? ...Oh my god...Elise...she has some sort of mind control power! She used it on me!"
"Now you're getting it. You're not as slow as I thought."
"But I don't understand, she tried to make me think that I hate Spider-Man, but right now I don't," you declared, attempting to understand. "Oh no she got you there. When I say worse half I mean I am all the bad traits you have personified, and a special thing about me is that I can't stand Spider-Man's guts! I hate him with all my being and wish he were dead," it smiled, indifferent to your feelings while demonising the person you've seen as a hero for so many years.
"...well it doesn't matter, you're in my head, your part of my imagination. You have no control over me," you said. "Au contraire ma cherie! I have every bit of control over you. If anything, you're part of my imagination," it stated. Its head tilted as it noticed your expression. "You look confused. Let me explain. When Elise did her little magic trick, your mind sort of broke into two halves, because her request was confilicting your very principles. One half is the good side, one half is the bad side, and since the bad side - AKA me - is the side that hates Peter Parker, as per Elise's wish, I'm the one who dominates most of the functions in this brain. So I'm not in your imagination, you're in mine."
Its words were very easily unsettling to you. You chose not to believe it, unless there was some way it could prove itself. "Oh you want me to prove it? Fine. Might be fun,"

You, Peter and May, all sat together at the dining table. Only not in solidarity as you had before, rather in hate of them and fear of you.
"Y/n atleast let May clean herself up. She's covered in sweat and tears and who knows where that knifes been. Can she atleast get a drink of water? Let her go lie down and recover on the couch-" his ramble was interrupted with the sound of a knife scraping off the wood table. "Peter I swear to god if you don't shut up I'll kill you," you threatened in a monotone voice.
He went to talk again before Aunt May put her hand on his and gave him a look that said, "Leave it be." Peter sighed in response and looked towards you. Your face was completely expressionless. Your eyes were dark voids. Any love or emotion you had was wiped away. Suddenly the glare in your eyes shifted, they brightened up a little. Then they began darting around the room. "What is going on..." you mumbled to yourself looking around the room. You were confused, and didn't know where you were.
Then you saw May and Peter, both staring at you terrified. "Hey, what's wrong guys you look like you've seen a ghost," you said in a low voice. "Y/n don't pretend like you didn't just threaten to kill us," Peter said looking away. Kill them? What is he talking about? "Wait, I think Elise did something to me. To my mind," you quickly said. "What?" Peter whispered to himself.
"I- I can't-... It's not me, I can't control my body!" you cried. "Y/n what does that mean? How do I help, what do I do?!" Peter desperately asked, begging you for the answer. Your eyes darkened suddenly, and your demeanor completely switched. An evil giggle crackled from your lips. Peter leaned back as he realised you reverted back. Back to what exactly, he wasn't sure yet.
"I'm afraid Y/n isn't here anymore."

Your eyes rapidly opened, and you looked around to find you were no longer in May's kitchen, but back in the empty white space. You looked down at your hands, moving them in every direction and in every way possible. You seemed to be unable to move them before, it was like you were completely paralysed. "Still don't believe me?" A voice said from behind you.
You swiveled in your spot, turning to find out who it was. Your reflection, or as it put it, your worser half stood in front of you. "What the hell was that?" you cried. "It's like I said before, I'm the one in control here," it declared, reveling in its victory with an evil chuckle. Your mind began racing. It was swarmed with questions like:
How could this happen?!
How do I get out?
Why would she do this to me?!?!
What were Peter and May talking about?
"Hey idiot," your worse half called out. Your train of thought was interrupted and you looked up at it. "We're in your brain. Remember? When you think about something it's just you speaking out loud." You replied with a sheepish, "Oh," and crossed your arms. Your foot began tapping the ground, trying to alleviate the awkwardness you felt. "Well...how do I get out?" you asked.
Your reflection tapped its chin. "Good question..."
