"Pfft! Are you being serious right now? There is no way!" Elise chimed, a bright smile on her face. "Right? That's what I said! And the whole time he was holding it in his hand!" Right on cue, the two of you burst out laughing. "Holy crap. That is one funny story!" she said, clutching her stomach.

"I will never get tired of telling that story. Comedy gold," you replied. She sighed contently before telling you, "Today was so much fun. Thanks for asking me out." The two of you were currently on a date in a park. Typical but, it was actually pretty nice staying in a calm place, compared to the hustle and bustle of the café!. "To be honest I was wondering if you even liked me or if I was imagining it."

"I was wondering that too! I couldn't tell if you were dropping hints or if I was looking too deep into things," you sighed as you turned on the bench you two were sitting on to face Elise. You're faces were closer than usual, remarkably you didn't feel any discomfort. She clasped her hand around yours. "Is it weird that I really wanna kiss you right now?" she whispered, not taking her eyes off your lips.

You felt your cheeks heating up, and before you could answer, she gave you a quick peck, testing the waters to see how'd you react. Neither of you seemed reluctant, so you rose your hand up to her cheek, pulling her in for a deeper kiss. The simple enough act felt electric to you. It's not like she was your first kiss but something about it was hypnotising. In that very moment she had you at her every wim. She could do to you what she pleased, and you'd accept it.

And then, the two of you separated, staring at each other with dazed expressions. "Woah," you mumbled, warranting a chuckle from her. "You wanna get outta here? We could head to my place. Eat some pizza or whatever," Elise suggested. You accepted the offer and the two of you were on your way.

The next morning you were sliding down the stairs of Peter's house and walked into the kitchen. "Good morning, May! Pete. How are we today?" You asked grabbing the milk out of the fridge. "Someone's very happy," Aunt May said smiling. "Date with Elise went well, I gather?" Peter enquired. "Well is an understatement. I have never felt such a rush of confidence before going on that date. I don't even know where it came from," you explained while pouring some cheerios into a bowl.

"I'm glad you had fun but you should be careful around that one. Us girls are slippery creatures and I don't want her breaking your heart," May replied. "Aw. You don't need to worry May. She's one of the good ones. I think." Peter scoffed, "So you guys go out once and suddenly you know her whole life story?"

"Yeah dude. Don't you know what an intuitive person I am?" you sarcastically replied leaving the kitchen. Peter chuckled to himself seeing as he could pretty much tell the future with his Spidey Sense but that didn't matter. "I hope they'll be alright," Aunt May sighed to herself. "What? You actually think Elise is up to something?" Peter whispered.

"Not up to something per se, I dunno. I met her when I went to visit Y/n at work, and she gives me a bad feeling," she continued, propping up her head with her hand. "Y/n can handle themself. Trust me, I've seen them do some remarkable things," Peter mumbled, swirling his cereal around in his bowl.

About an hour or so later, Peter was upstairs in his room. Sitting at his desk and staring at the screen of his laptop, he pondered on what Aunt May had said earlier. "I mean... what's the harm in a quick google search?" he mumbled to himself. He began clicking and tapping at the keyboard.

He pressed "Enter" and began scrolling. There were Instagram accounts, Twitter accounts. Funnily enough, none of them had her face on them. "Huh. Must be a lot of Elises around here. He looked through a bunch of different profiles looking for your Elise but couldn't seem to find her. Peter recognised how much he was acting like a stalker, but it's not like he's stalking all the random profiles he was looking at, right?

Just one profile of someone he knew personally, and was dating a close friend of his. That's not weird is it? Moving on. He couldn't seem to find any social media from Elise at all. Which seemed weird but maybe she just didn't post pictures of herself on her accounts? Pete decided to dig a little deeper.

Probably wasn't the wisest idea but he had become invested now. He scoured the internet for medical records, previous education, family, even criminal records. Nothing. "What is going on?" he mumbled to himself. Minutes turned to hours. The sky was blue, tipping towards orange as sunset approached. Yet after all that time, it was like Elise didn't even exist.

Suddenly his door swung open, and your head peeped into Peter's room. In an obvious haste, he closed all the tabs he had open. You squinted your eyes ad looked at him skeptically. "Uhm...May wanted to know why you've been in your room all day, and if you wanted to have a snack before dinner," you explained.

"Uh, yeah. Snacks before dinner. Sounds great," he replied, awkwardly pursing his lips. He tapped his finger on his thigh waiting for your response. "Right. And the reason for being in your room all day?" you asked. His mouth hung open searching for the words to say. "I was... watching porn," he deadpanned. "...Cool. I'll make sure to repeat this conversation exactly to Aunt May. Have fun, buddy," you said, patting the door frame as you left.

Peter let out a breath he didn't realise he was holding before looking at the computer screen. "What did I just get myself into," he sighed.

Night time had approached. You and Aunt May were snoozing away, fast asleep. Peter however was wide awake. Why couldn't he find anything about Elise? Or maybe the better question was, why was it so difficult to find information? Peter didn't know what, but something was going on.

Something was wrong.
