Under Control

Ok so, I've been watching The Originals, and sometimes it showed some flashbacks back when Kol and Finn was there. And honestly, Kol's kinda cute, but I ain't letting that stop my feelings for Stefan. Besides he's like 1,000 years old. (Umm, like I care? Stefan's like 152 or sum-)

Well, now it was time to go to school, so I got ready and got downstairs

"Come on, Jer. We should go to school. Walking out the door now" I said, going to the door

"You forgot this" said Jenna, handing me my lunch 

"Oh, thanks" I said, and just as I opened the door, I was met face to face with...My father, as in Jeremy's Uncle John.

"Hello" said John, then looked at Jenna "Hi, Jenna"

"John, you made it!" said Jenna

"Said I'd be in by noon" said John

"What you say and what you do are typically 2 very different things, also, this is Y/n, we adopted her" said Jenna, referring to me

"Heyy" I said

"Hello, Y/n, you can call me Uncle John" said John

"Ok, nice to meet you, Uncle John" I said

"Uncle John, what's up?" asked Jeremy, coming down the stairs

"Hey...I had some business in town, I thought a visit was in order" said John 

"How long will you be staying?" I asked

"I don't know yet" said John

"Hmm, k, well I better head to school, nice meeting you!" I said, and went out the door

⏳ to school

Matt and I were by my locker, and were talking about Uncle John

"I never liked that guy" said Matt

"Same" I said, Matt looked at me weird

"Sorry, automatic response" I said, making him laugh

"Relatable. I'm here for moral support if you need me" said Matt

"Thank you, that also goes out for you" I said

"You've already helped me through enough, and thanks for that" said Matt 

"Well, I'm always here for more, since I'm bored all the time anyways" I said

⏳ to after class

I was in Ric's room, just looking at the paper that Jeremy wrote about vampires

"Yeah, I could have guessed he wrote that, he's into vampires these days" I said

"He's very clear that he didn't think it was real" said Ric

"Well, he know's they're real now. And that's fine, I know he can keep a secret" I said, Ric got the papers out of my hand, and put it on his desk "So how do you deal with it?"

"With what?"

"With all the lies and the secrets, you have to lie to everyone who's important to you"

"I'm good at making things up. I sometimes just tell the truth, but not the full story, that's how I say I never lie. But I only do that because I love them, and feel the need to protect them"
