"Morning!" I said
"Thought we had aspirin" said Alaric
"Yeah, should be in the vitamins" I said, and went to pour some drinks
"You look hungover" I said
"Yeah, sorry about that. It was a bit of a weird night, though" said Ric
"Told you, you don't have to feel guilty. Meredith's a sweet girl, I like her" I said
"I know. And I thank you for that. But I do feel a little guilty for whisky dialing her at 2 in the AM" said Ric
"Oh, you didn'tttt" I said
"Oh, yes, I did" he said
"Well, was she cool about it?" I asked
"Well, as soon as these aspiring kick in and I remember the conversation, I'll let you know" said Ric
I chuckled, and shook my head. Then the doorbell rang, I looked to see sheriff Forbes. I opened the door.
"Sheriff Forbes, hi" I said, she didn't make eye contact
"Is everything alright?" I asked
"This is an unconventional conversation we're about to have, so I'll hope you'll protect me on it" said Liz
"Ofc" said Ric
"I assume you both heard our medical examiner was murdered the night of the Wickery bridge fundraiser" said Liz
"Yeah. Brian Walters, why?" asked Ric
"We've been investigating, someone drove this stake through his heart" said Liz, showing us the stake
Ric looked at it "It's one of ours. I mean, this is one of a set from your parents' Lakehouse" said Ric
"That's why I'm here. I haven't told anyone, but forensics ran it for prints, and found only 1 clean set. Yours" said Liz
"What?" I asked

"So you're the prime suspect, huh?" asked Damon
"She doesn't think that it was me who did it. She's just trying to find out why someone used one of my family's weapons to kill a council member" I said
"Well, why don't you just ask Ric? If his dirty little doctor had access to the weapons" said Damon
"You're on speaker phone, dick" said Ric, making me laugh "I was laughing at Damon's reaction, btw" I said, he nodded
"I'm just saying, 1st suspect is usually the right one who gets so defensive" said Damon
"Brian Walters was killed days ago, alright? I didn't show Meredith this stuff until last night" said Ric
"I don't think it was Meredith" I said
"But Brian Walters was her ex boyfriend and Ric saw them fighting that night" said Damon
"It's not Meredith, ok? I don't think she'd do that. Besides, I refuse to believe that Ric's taste in women is the bad type" I said
"Who else knows about your secret little slayer stash?" asked Damon
"Who doesn't? I've got weapons here, the school, my loft, your car" said Ric
"It's Klaus, it has to be" said Damon
"Mhm, yeah, just blame it on one of my new besties" I said
"Klaus is your--" started Ric
"Just please, don't" I said, he nodded
