Chapter 8
AT THE ICE HOCKEY RINK
Rebecca's POV
We've been here for 2 hours now and Ruby is still learning with Ross, Rocky, Riker and Ryland. Even though they're all already in the mid-twenties till thirties they're all really fit and are still very good at ice hockey. Ruby is also doing a really good job. Ross and I have a really talented daughter. I'm pretty sure she got all the talent from Ross, but I'm fine with that. Rydel and Ratliff came too, but they're not that into playing ice hockey. They more like watching ice hockey, just like me.
Rydel: Oh my god I can't believe you're wearing Ross' jersey. That is so cute.

Rebecca: I know. He ask me if I would wear it. First I wanted to say no, but you know I can't say no to him.
Ratliff: Did he used his cute puppy eyes on you?
Rebecca: What do you think?
We all laugh. Then Riker and Rocky skate towards us and hold themselves on the wall of the ice hockey rink. They look really out of breath.
Rydel: What's the matter with you guys?
Rocky: The real question is, what's the matter with Ruby? Will she never get tired?
Rebecca: What? Are you already out of breath?
Rocky: Rebecca, some of us are already a little bit older. We're not the young athletic teenagers like we were 14 years ago anymore.
Ratliff: Well, Ross and Ryland look like they can still go.
Riker: Yeah, well Ryland is the youngest from us, except for Ruby of course, and Ross. Ross has to continue playing. Ruby is his daughter. It's his job to keep her entertained.
Rocky: I thought Ross was supposed to keep Rebecca entertained.
He grins at me and my cheeks start to turn into a dark red. Then I slap playfully his arm.
Rocky: OW!
Okay, maybe a little bit too hard.
Rocky: What was that for?
Rebecca: For your stupid comment of course. What else?
We all chuckle. Suddenly Ruby skates to us. She can't look over the rink, so I stand up and look onto the ice, down to her.
Rebecca: What's the matter honey?
Ruby: I think daddy is dead.
Rebecca: WHAT?!
I start to panic and look to the middle of the ice where Ross is laying on his back, legs and arms spread out.
