The best part of my job is the option to work from home. About once a month I pre-plan one day where I just lounge around my house, pretending to do work when in reality I'm cleaning out the fridge or pulling out clothes to donate from my closet.

It's also pretty great getting to spend the day in pajamas since I don't have to go to any meetings. I just have to look out for any important emails and maybe do a little research or put together a presentation. Either way, it's just a great way to relax.

Plus it makes it easier to act on my needs when Harry sends me a nude or one of his dirty voice messages. He likes when I work from home too. He gets videos.

Today he's home with the girls. Annika had the day off from school and he was adamant about spending the entire day with his wildflowers. That nickname always makes me smile since it's so sweet and gentle. He told his mom to take the weekend to herself and go have some fun while he does all the work. I know he appreciates his mom helping out so much, but I can imagine from time to time it could get disheartening to always need help.

There's nothing he should be ashamed of though. Parenting is usually a two person job, and he lost the one person who should be helping him. I don't bring up Jamie, and we haven't talked about it since he told me she died, but I must admit I'm curious about it. When he's ready he'll tell me though.

Even if they didn't have a good relationship and it was pretty toxic from what I hear, it still sounded like they did what was best for the kids. He could have been a dick and left his family because it wasn't part of his plan, but he owned up to it and made the best out of the situation. I always tell him it's okay that his mom helps out when he gets in his frustrated moods, and I think he knows that, but he just sometimes has to let his feelings out which is valid.

I still think he's an amazing father to two girls. My dad was okay, but Harry just blows him out of the water. Speaking of, I'm still terrified to introduce them to Harry since I know how they'll act, but so far I've told them I'm dating someone.

The only person who knows the most about Harry is Conrad. We grew up pretty close since our age gap is a lot closer than him and Ralphie, so we tell each other everything. I mean, he was here when Harry took me home on the first date so he knows a lot.

I've shown him pictures, which he agrees that mom and dad will kill me for going after a guy like H, and I told him about the girls. That was a big shocker to him, much like it was to me, but he said he's trusting my judgement on this one. I'm not excited for the rest of the family to know and judge him even more than they already will.

But we're still a while away from the meet the family stuff, at least I think so.

As I'm sitting at the desk in my room, working on a presentation, my phone lights up with a text. I smile, grabbing it and reading what Harry has to say.

Hey pretty girl. Hope you're having a lovely day. We've been out here searching for the gnome king all morning long and Annika says the squirrels won't talk anymore. She believes you're right about them working for the gnomes. Oakley's also got a pet caterpillar living on her hand. She's named it Oakie. Just an update on us, missing you loads today! Xx

After the text there are a few pictures of the girls all dressed up in their fairy outfits laying in the grass, and another of Oakley and Oakie the caterpillar. My favorite is a selfie of the three of them, but Harry is smiling really cheesily with teeth. He has a matching flower crown and wings like the girls, and I could swear he has glitter on his face. Those girls get to do whatever they want and I support them entirely.

Hi angel! I cannot believe those squirrels! Hopefully if you're persistent enough they'll finally cave and tell you all you need to know to capture the gnome king. Tell Oakley that little Oakie is just the cutest pet caterpillar I've ever seen. Sounds like you're having the best day ever, while I'm stuck behind a desk working. Missing you way more! Xo
