Harry

"Daddy, can Devon stay to do bedtime with us?" Annika asks, resting her head on my shoulder as I carry her back in. Devon is carrying Oakley back in and god they look so adorable together. Oakley always gets the giant burst of energy before bed and Devon's finding it easy to keep up with her, probably because she doesn't have to take care of kids all day.

I kiss Annika's head, "Devon has to go home now, but maybe next time okay? Does that sound good, petal?"

She sighs but nods, cuddling her face more into my neck. I know she's exhausted. We ran around the yard for a really long time, way past after it got dark out. I had lights installed so it wasn't too hard to see, but it is way past the girls' bedtime.

Devon helps me bring the girls up the stairs, laughing and singing along with Oakley and occasionally tickling her sides. Oakley screams with laughter every time, hiding her head in Devon's neck and holding on tight. This was really successful, and I'm so happy the girls feel comfortable around her. "Dev, just bring them to Annika's room so they could play while I walk you to the door." I let her know.

She nods, going into Annika's room and putting Oakley down. When I go into the room, Anni squirms out of my arms so she could go give Devon a hug. "Thanks for talking to Tucker! He said he'll be our friend again."

"Oh I'm so happy about that, Annika! If he ever gives you any trouble again just let me know and I'll help out again." She says, hugging Annika tightly back. Oakley finds a nice spot on the floor where she could play with her elmo toy. She hasn't let that thing go once since Devon gave it to her.

I smile, watching Oakley come and give Devon a hug once Annika let's go and she just keeps giggling. "Bye-Bye! Oakie Emo!" She can't quite get her l sounds down pat yet, but it's very adorable to hear her talk.

"Bye Oakley! I'm so happy you like your Elmo!" Devon smiles and my heart just about melts when Oakley gives her a kiss on the cheek. Dev looks at me with the most adorable face, finding Oakley so adorable in this moment. "Thank you so much, darling. I'll see you soon, okay?"

Devon gets up, walking over to me at the doorway. I look at the girls. "I'll be right back for bathtime so get all the crazies out now."

We walk out of the room and I wrap an arm around Devon's shoulders, walking with her down the stairs. She wraps her arms around my waist, and I feel her place a peck to my jaw. "They are the cutest little girls in the world, H."

"Thank you. I just know they had the best time today." We walk down the stairs together and walk over to the door. "Want to bring some pizza home with you? There's still plenty."

She shakes her head, "No, that's okay. You guys enjoy that. You're sure you don't need help with them? I could-"

I lean down, pressing my lips to hers gently. She can't help but smile at the feeling, loving when I shut her up with a kiss. She's started to do that with me now too and I must say, it is very sexy.

When I pull away from the kiss, I hold her chin gently between my fingers. "This could take hours with Oak and you have work in the morning. Go home-" Kiss. "Get some rest." Kiss. "And I'll see you tomorrow."

She pouts softly, but nods, kissing my lips again. Hopefully the girls aren't spying on us. I've never really done this before, so I don't know they're level of mischievousness, but I think I know my daughters well enough. They would be giggling like crazy if they were watching us and Oakley would not be able to shut up.

When I pull away, she smiles, "I got you something too." She looks in her tote bag, rummaging around.

"Oh boy, I feel special." I tease, but I genuinely am surprised that she got me a gift.
