Emily's pov:
I stood in the audience of the courtroom. JJ stood up as we both anxiously waited for the judge to say the ruling. I could tell that JJ was trying not to cry.

I realized my own hands were trembling as the judge pulled out the piece of paper and read it aloud. "The jury has voted. Mark Thomason is ruled... guilty."

I watched Mark scream at JJ and she started crying. Mark shouted as he was hauled away. I went up and grabbed JJ's hand walking her out of the courtroom.

"JJ he's gone. He's gone for good now." I held her hand and she stopped crying. When we existed there was tons of cameras and flashes. Reporters had their microphones and were holding them to JJ's face shouting questions at her.

JJ put her head down as we fought our way through the crowd and into the car. It was late and dark outside. The car ride was quiet expect for the slight hum of the radio.

When I pulled into the drive way we got out and headed inside. JJ changed out of the clothes but didn't bother to do anything else like showering or eating. I changed too before climbing into bed next to JJ.

When I laid down I felt her arm wrap around me. "JJ are you okay?" I said softly. "Yeah. I just want to go to sleep." She sighed quietly. I nodded pressing a kiss to her temple. "Goodnight sweetie."

When I woke up it was only around 4am. I reached my arm across the bed expecting to find JJ there, but she wasn't. I heard the sound of glass breaking and I immediately got out of bed and ran downstairs.

I saw JJ hurl the last picture frame at the wall and watch it shatter into a million pieces. She slid to the floor surrounded by the glass and cried.

I slowly kneeled down next to her, being careful not to step on the glass, and stroked her shoulder. She jumped. "JJ it's me." I said softly. She turned around and faced me.

As carefully as I could, I placed my arms under hers, and lifted her out of the mess. Her hands and feet were bleeding. The worst one was a gash on her hand probably from picking up the picture frames.

I didn't want her to hurt her feet so I just carried her up the stairs and into the bathroom. She sat on the floor. I grabbed a pair of tweezers. "I'm going to get the glass out of the cut okay?" JJ just nodded her head.

I took all the small pieces of glass out of her hand and foot, and she winced in pain every so often. I decided to wrap it in a bandage after she showered today.

I cleaned her hand which made her cry. I felt really bad because it did look extremely painful. I used medical tape to hold it together so she wouldn't need stitches.

Her makeup was running because she hadn't taken it off yesterday. I grabbed some makeup remover and a wash cloth and sat on the floor next to her.

She sat in my lap and leaned her head against my shoulder as I took off her makeup. When I was done I lifted her up again and set her down on the bed.

She laid there for a few minutes before she finally opened her eyes and looked at me. I sat down next to her stroking her hair back.

"JJ what are you feeling?" I asked softly. She just shook her head. "Are you sad, happy, angry, scared, upset, annoyed? Give me a word."

I rested my back against the headboard and pulled her so she was in my arms. "JJ." I said again looking down at her. She finally spoke but it was quiet and I could barely hear it. "I'm scared."

"JJ can you tell me why you're scared?" I asked her. She moved so she could lay her head on my shoulder. Her arms were tightly wrapped around my waist.
