JJ's pov:
I was back at work now. I had been for about a week. It was going pretty smooth. I kept getting questioned by the team but I still hadn't told them anything.

I think Emily might have it worse. They're constantly harassing her about it. She kept telling them she wasn't going to talk about it, but they didn't listen.

It was almost 9pm and I really just wanted to go home. We were really the only ones left in the office, and it was already dark outside. The whole team was still here, working on paperwork from the case.

Just as I was about to start getting my stuff, I hear call everyone into the briefing room.

I walk in and everyone is slumped in their chairs. "We really have another case? We just finished the last one!" Derek groaned.

"Actually we don't have a case. The reason I called you in here was because the unsub that we just arrested, may have had a plan in place before we caught him. I don't know specific details, but as of right now, we can't leave." Hotch said.

"What? Are we in danger?" Emily asked. "Most likely no. I wouldn't worry about it until we know anything for sure." He said. "So how long do we have to stay?" Asked Reid.

"Most likely 2 days maybe more." Hotch answered. Everyone groaned. He didn't say anything else so we all just went into the bullpen.

Hotch stayed in his office and didn't come out. Everyone was now gathered in the bullpen. "Wait JJ has a couch! No fair!" Derek realizes.

"I'm sleeping in JJ's office. Good luck to the rest of you." Emily laughed and walked away. I followed her into my office.

We both sat on the couch and I pulled up a movie to watch. We watched in for a while but Emily seemed distracted. She wasn't really paying attention to it and her eyes were wandering away.

I paused the movie and she didn't even notice. "Em?" I said. She snapped back. "Oh did the movie end?" She asked.

"No I paused it." I said. "Oh. Why?" "You're acting weird. Are you okay?"

"Yeah I'm fine. Just spaced out a bit." She smiled. It looked forced though. "You know I'm a profiler right? I can tell when someone's lying." I told her.

She sighed. "It's stupid. You don't have to worry about it." I laughed a bit, "Emily you have listened to all of my stupid problems for as long as I remember. I should do the same. Tell me."

"Okay fine. I can't give all the details. Most likely it's not a big deal. Someone I put in prison awhile ago dropped off the raider. My old CI told me. I'm sure it's nothing though." She told me not to worry but I could tell she was.

"Are you sure Emily? It doesn't sound like it's nothing..." "JJ if there's anything to worry about, I'll tell you. But right now, you can't tell anyone about this. For everyone's safety." She said. "Of course not. You promise you'll tell me?"

"JJ before I met you my biggest fear was that something would happen to me. But then... but then I met you and you just flipped my whole life around." She laughed. "And now the only thing that terrifies me is losing you."

"Well then I guess we both have to stay alive." I smiled. "You better hold up to that." She chuckled kissing me lightly. "I don't know what I would do without you."

"Well I'm not going anywhere." I hugged her. "Let's finished the movie." I set the laptop on Emily's knees and laid my head in her lap. I think I fell asleep like that.

I heard the office door open and then some whispering but my eyes were too heavy to open and I couldn't force myself to wake up. The door shut again and I fell back asleep.

~2 weeks later~
Emily had not answered any of my hundred calls or texts. She was acting weirder and weirder. She said she would tell me if something was going on but something was happening, and she wouldn't tell me.

I finally had enough. I got in my car and drove to her apartment. I banged on her door until she opened it.
"JJ? What are you doing here?"

"You didn't answer any of my calls! You were ignoring me I thought you were dead or something!" I yelled. "I'm sorry JJ." She pulled me in and closed the door.

I saw the guns and the weapons she was holstering to herself. "Emily what are you doing?" I asked her confused. "Where are you going?"

"JJ I need to keep the team safe. I need to keep you safe. No matter what I have to do I'm going to do it to keep you safe." She rambled. "Emily what are you talking about?"

"JJ I love you. I love you so much. Remember that for me okay?" She smiled sadly at me. Tears started to fall down my face. She kissed me. Hard. She hugged me tightly before grabbing her last gun and opening the front door.

"Emily where are you going!" I screamed. "I love you JJ." Was the last thing she said before she went out the door and shut it behind her.

I fell to the floor hugging my knees to my chest and crying. Was this the last time I was ever going to see her? Was she going to die? Why was she doing this? I didn't understand.

~5 days later~
We were driving to the warehouse where Ian Doyle was holding Emily. The last 5 days have just been a big blur. I needed to find Emily alive.

We stormed the building and I heard swat teams yelling. I heard Derek screaming for a medic which means that they found her. And she was alive.

Paramedics sprinted past me. There was so much shouting and people running. "The unsubs getting away! Northeast exist!"

~7 hours later, hospital waiting room~
I stood in front of the team. Tears fell down my face as they all looked at me waiting for what I was going to say. I think my face gave it away.

Garcia started to cry. "No. No." She shook her head. Spencer stood there looking shocked and Derek was staring at the floor. I cleared my throat.

"She never made it off the table."
