It was a week after the whole event that happened, school and classes carried on regularly for (Y/N). It was time after class and a few of the students were heading back up to the Gryffindor tower, (Y/N) being one of these students with Sapnap, since they were heading back up to start on a project for care of magical creatures that each student got assigned. As the two made their way into the common room, there was a huge line formed around. As the two went to see what the fuss was about they saw Jack near the end of the line.
"Hey what's the line for?" (Y/N) asked him.
"It's for the Yule Ball. They still have the Hogsmeade one there with the reminder that it's in two days, but the Yule Ball is on the eighteenth and the twenty first is the begin of the winter holiday." Jack said.
"Is the holiday that close already?" Sapnap said.
"Yeah, I guess we all haven't noticed based on how we've been doing school." (Y/N) said.
"Y'know I got invited to this huge party at some manor or mansion for New Years with my family." Sapnap said.
"Oh that's cool, I'm spending New Years at my home with a few friends." (Y/N) stated, as they moved more to the front.
"I'm spending time with Wilbur, Ted, Schlatt for the holiday." Jack said.
"Wait with Wilbur?" (Y/N) said, giving him a questionable look.
"Yes, is there something wrong with that?" He asked.
"No, but anyways, I'll talk to you later." She said, signing the paper on saying that she was going to the ball, and left the two. As (Y/N) walked around the castle looking for her cousin, she kept looking for him.
"When I find you William Gold you are in big trouble." She said to herself. As she kept running down different halls, and different places but ended up going in circles. Groaning with frustration, she sat down on one of the benches in the courtyard and put her hands on her upper knees.
"Holy cow, I can't find him." She stated to herself, as she was regaining her breath.
"You alright (N/N)?" Said a voice behind her, making her jump.
"Not really George." She said, patting the space next to her for him to sit in.
"What's wrong?" He asks her, once he sat down.
"I can't find Wilbur, and I need to ask him something related with the family and the holiday." She said, looking at him.
"Well I can give him the message if you want, but I need to ask you something." He said locking his eyes with her.
"Sure what's up?" She said, pushing the previous emotion aside, and focusing on what George was asking.
"Well okay... I was wondering if you would like to accompany me this weekend to a small cafe in Hogsmeade?" He asked, looking down.
"I would love to, if it's a date then sure. I need the fun!" She said looking at him.
"Great, I'll come pick you up before the train goes, and I can show you where it is." He said.
"Alrighty then, thank you George. I look forward to the cafe and date there." She said smiling with glee forgetting about the whole Wilbur ordeal, and happy that George and her were becoming friends more, now that they were spending some quality time without the others. This was so unexpected, especially of the two since now they were actually trying to reach out to the other.
Sighing with content and happiness, (Y/N) fell onto her four poster bed with her back on it and hair undone for the moment.
"Someone's happy." Cara said walking in, since she was behind her.
