It was six o'clock on December twentieth when (Y/N) came down for dinner at the Great Hall with one of her books, and it was two days of not speaking to George since the Yule Ball. George was for obvious reasons of not to be spoken to and she was too awkward and embarrassed to ask him to talk about it. Her friends did notice this but they waited on the two to make up before talking about and asking questions. Dream and Sapnap knew what happened but they didn't say anything bad about (Y/N). Niki and Cara had more details on the whole thing since (Y/N) had told them, and they didn't judge either of the teens. One more thing to keep in mind with (Y/N), she had done heavy research on possible places and locations the in between may have been located.
"Good am I starving." said (Y/N) as she grabbed a bowl and some soup.
"I'm bored." said Tommy, as he played with his food.
"Read and obsess over a subject. That's why I'm not bored." said (Y/N).
"Are you going to talk to him today? We leave tomorrow." whispered Cara into (Y/N) ear.
"You know I really don't want to but, I will definitely hold this over myself if don't." said (Y/N), hanging her head.
"Then you'll do it then. Great! I already told Dream to tell George." exclaimed Cara, making the girl sink lower into her chair.
"Puffy, I told you not to tell her!" scolded Niki.
"Sorry." said a sheepish Cara.
"Hey Will, your good with Geography, right?" asked (Y/N) to her cousin.
"Yeah I would say so. What do you need to know?" replied Wilbur.
"Do you know any places or countries with large white buildings not from the current era, but old ones, y'know?" said (Y/N).
"If your talking about Austria's National Library, you know where it'll be." said Wilbur, assuming that was the building she was talking about.
"Okay, I guess that somewhat helped." said (Y/N) before going back to her dinner.
As seven o'clock neared, the hall was becoming quite empty since most students were going back home since the school allowed foreign and regular students to go to their families if they were in the country. Seeing that Cara and Niki were wanting (Y/N) to go speak to George, she stayed behind and pretending to read her book, being a Jane Austen one. Seeing Dream's and Sapnap's feet walk by, she gulped, not wanting to do the next thing she needed to do.
"Hey (N/N)..." quietly said George standing in front of her. The girl didn't respond, just staring at his shoes.
"I think we should talk." stated the boy again. This time she looked up at him.
"Yeah, I think we should as well." responded the girl standing up, and walking with him.
"I first of all want to say sorry for leaving you so abruptly, for kissing you on the cheek without consent, and answer a question you hadn't replied to yet." said George, looking down at his feet.
"Y'know it's fine George. We just think differently. You wanted a relationship and I'm just not ready for such a thing yet and I think we may be a bit too different to be in one together." explained the girl as she stood still for a moment.
"You're right. Does this mean we're still friends?" asked George, making both of them laugh.
"Yes, and if you would want to actually see what it is to kiss someone, I'm free and down to do it. I've never done before, and I can assume neither have you." said (Y/N) making the boy feel a bit better.
