"(N/N)." spoked a soothing voice, making (Y/N) eyes open slightly. Everything in this room was white, with it's walls, ceilings, and bed.
"Hey Friend." spoke (Y/N) in a small whisper.
"Hey (Y/N)." smiled the boy at her, making her give him a smile back, as she sat up in the bed.
"I can tell you didn't have a fun time at the Ball?" He said, once she sat up.
"You could say so." said she, looking down at her hands, "How did I get here this time? Did I get a fever?" asked the girl, laughing slightly at the boy.
"No, you didn't. I actually brought you here. So you're technically dreaming." explained the boy, moving up from the bed. As the girl followed suit, she noticed something different.
"Did you change my clothes!" yelped the girl, as she noticed she wasn't in her pajamas.
"No! Why would you think that!" yelped the boy.
"Because I'm not in my clothes, and I'm in some really nice dress." responded (Y/N) admiring the dress. The dress was a long white dress, and was made of silk presumably.
"Yeah, the place changes your clothes for more suitable attire depending on events, I mean look at my clothes." said Friend, showing he only had white pants and a loose white shirt, "Anyway brings me to an important thing I need to tell you." said Friend.
"Go on. I'm listening." said the girl.
"The place is having a ball, and I thought I would take you as a makeup from tonight's events." He said.
"Why not. I've already had a bad experience so why not try for a good one." said the girl, taking his hand to go down the tower. As the two walked down and got near a different part of the palace, it was different than the Pensieve room. This room had light shining in it, through a glass roof, and had an array of flowers in the colors of whites and light grays. Walking in music started to play, playing "The Blue Danube", a classic waltz song (Y/N) new by heart. As Friend guided her to the melody of the song, she noticed the people or well deceased people playing the instruments. They were skeletons with top hats and collars. (Y/N) had tried remembering where they were from being so familiar. Giving up on trying to remember, she continued to dance.
Eventually shuffle formed in the background, causing (Y/N) to look to the source of noise, which was people.
"Has anyone else ever been here?" asked (Y/N) looking at the boy with small anxiety.
"No, but if you are asking about the other people they walk around the palace confused I presume from something. They don't speak either." explained Friend, before spinning the girl.
"Then what's their purpose?" asked (Y/N) as the song slowly came to an end.
"They have the same purpose as me, which is something you have to wait for." explained Friend, as the song came to an end. As the two walked to the part of the room that wasn't occupied. Taking the advantage of this (Y/N) looked the the people, and one thing was in common about all of them: they looked identical to friend.
"So did you finally named this extravagant palace that you roam around?" asked the girl, sitting on a bench watching people dance.
"I'm calling it the 'in between'." responded Friend, also watching the people.
"How'd you come up with the name?" asked again the girl, interested to try to at least remember the place in some way for her next visit here.
"I found the name in the library. You should come and take a look for yourself. I have a few journals you might find interesting." explained Friend.
