The Yule ball. Yeah you've heard it's the most special event hosted at Hogwarts in the winter season being a Christmas ball, and only can be attended by third years and up, unless invited or indicated that you can go. Most people have heard of it with the Triwizard Tournament, but it can occasionally happen when a large group of foreign students come, especially like the group (Y/N)'s classmates came from. Besides this, people would dress in the prettiest gowns and suits, similar to the ones Wilbur and (Y/N) had bought right before school. To focus on the present, it was the fifteenth of December, over a month since the accident, and (Y/N) was finishing her final for Herbology, which was to explain plant care for four of the same plants but remove some care from three of the given plants. After adding the final parts, proof reading the paper, and checking all photos were in their right places she went over to the planetarium like classroom and gave her paper.

"Thank you Ms. Fletchers, I look forward to grading your paper." She said after looking at the paper.

"Your welcome, I hope you like it. Happy holidays!" She said.

Trudging through the snow, and getting her legs to freeze at the slightest, she entered the castle to see teachers and students setting up the grand hall, practicing carols, and running to turn in finals: the perfect holiday aura.

Walking back to the dormitory of her roommates and self, the Gryffindor common room had a warm fire ablaze, with students adding last minute decorations to the small Christmas tree, with their own ornaments since it became a tradition. Others were chatting on the big, scarlet couches and eating snacks. Going up a few flights of stairs the girl made it to her dormitory. Opening the door, she walked in seeing most of her roommates packing their bags for the holiday. Meredith was trying to see if she brought any small bags or something to put her extra items that didn't fit in her suitcase. Alice on the other hand was getting her books, and ferret ready. Mia was grabbing her books she didn't need for classes, into her bag that was packed, and also getting her cats things. Finally, Cara who was sitting on her bed with peach, was reading a book, (Y/N) hadn't seen her reading yet.

Putting away her herbology book, and notebook into her bag. She sighed, finally being done with all her classes. Laying her head down on her pillows, she closed her eyes being interrupted not a second later by Callahan pushing is paw in ear face.

"Right you need attention." She said, getting into a crisscross sitting.

"You turned in all you finals?" Cara asked her, while reading the book.

"Yep." She responded, popping the "p".

"Congrats." Cara said looking up from her book.

"Yeah, a few nights of little to no sleep for all of us, and we are all done!" She said, to which her roommates gave their tired cheers, "So you are packed up?" (Y/N) asked.

"Yeah, I'm reading a book I brought with me, and relaxing a little." Cara said.

"Hey don't we have at five the dance classes?" Meredith asked, finally getting a small bag to put her remanding items.

"Yeah, at five." Mia said.

"It should be a breeze." (Y/N) said.

"Alright 'Ms. I won't mess up the routine for the waltz', but you can mess up y'know." Cara teased the girl.

"I practiced the Waltz at home a whole lot, since my father wants me to. I even have to practice with Will sometimes, if he's visiting." She said.

"Really?" Alice asked.

"Yeah. My dad is preparing me for when the dark era passes after the death of you know who, so we can go to his business' events and family ones." She said, thinking back.
