Chapter: 21

Letting out a sigh, Alex placed both of his hands inside his pockets, calmly making his way towards the tour bus where everyone was currently at. Chris, who was too busy adjusting his hold on his fender, walked besides him, gazing around the neighborhood.

It has been 2 weeks since they had returned from their trip from Acapulco; a place they were starting to miss, experiencing how fun it was. Whatever the future had in store for them, they hoped Acapulco or any other place similar to it would be their next trip.

In those 2 weeks, Alex and Chris spent it in San Antonio with Chris's family. Surprisingly enough, Abraham thought of the idea for the band to have a little vacation now that they are back in Texas, as a way for them to settle back in before hitting the road.

Now that the little vacation has passed, A.B gave them a call; informing them that it was time to hit the road. The band was trying to push out as many performances as they could before the touring began.

On cue, Alex and Chris packed their stuff and bid their farewells before hitting the road towards Corpus Christi. After an almost 2 hour drive, the duo parked their car in the usual spot before heading towards Quintanilla's residence.

Rubbing his nape, Alex let out a second low sigh, which was heard by Chris who turn to look at him.

"Everything alright?" Chris asked.

Alex nodded. "Yeah, everything is alright."

Chris arched an eyebrow. "You sure? You've been fidgeting ever since we were on the road. Something troubling your ail?"

Alex shrugged his shoulders, hoping it was a way to assure he was fine, but when Chris kept staring he sighed in defeat. "I'm just a little weirded out... coming back after a long time... you know what I mean?"

"You do notice it hasn't been that long since we here right?"

Alex rolled his eyes. "And you do notice the last time we were here, where Selena lives, was before summer? Think about it, Chris."

"Fine. You made your point."

"Exactly."

"That still doesn't answer the question of why you're nervous."

Pursing his lips, Alex tried to think of a way to be mendacious. He didn't want Chris to know that he wasn't nervous about returning to Corpus Chris. No, that wasn't it. He was nervous about seeing someone who's been invading his mind for the past 2 weeks.

"Chris, I'm serious. I'm just trying to get used to being back. That's it." Alex answered.

Chris squinted his eyes before shrugging in the end. "Alright, whatever you say, man. Don't try and piss your pants once we hit the road."

Alex snorted. "Shut up."

As the duo made their way towards the legends house, Big Bertha soon came into view, making the both of them smile at the bus that's taken them all around Texas.

The tour bus wasn't the only thing that came into view as they spotted a couple of individuals standing right beside it. Alex squinted his eyes to get a closer look before he realize it was the band members – Los Dinos along with Selena.

All of them seemed to be engrossed in a conversation, not noticing Alex and Chris approaching them. Contradicting that, A.B was the first one to spot them as he pointed the duo that was making their way over to them, sending the band's attention towards them, especially a certain someone eyeing another certain someone.

Approaching the band, Alex and Chris were soon engulfed in hugs and greetings by everyone. Soon the nervous feeling Alex had that coursed through his brain, vanished and was replaced with a sense of happiness.
