Being in his state of Reverie, Alex stared at the ceiling of the tour bus, being the only awake out of everyone else. To say he was mentally and physically tired was an honest statement from him – if he was to verbally say it.

A couple of days have now passed since they left Corpus Christi. Selena y Los Dinos hit the road again, preparing for the Ven Conmigo Tour. For them, it was like a dream coming through as they felt like they were getting closer to the English crossover.

The band has performed in familiar places as they have in the past; Laredo, San Antonio, Dallas, Houston, Austin. All of them welcomed the band with open arms as Selena's popularity seemed to be rising every day.

Selena couldn't help but feel hellaciously happy whenever they finished performing, or when they start performing. Seeing and hearing people chant her name couldn't help but make her shed tears of proudness.

Everything that they have worked on seems to be paying off as more and more people attended her concerts, a scene that greatly made Alex proud of them.

Alex, himself, would sometimes believe this all just a dream, a dream where he will eventually wake up. Being able to be here, in person, witnessing the band's popularity rise was honestly astonishing to him.

He was happy, happy for everyone in the band, and happy for Selena. Gazing at how Selena would get bombarded with fans who seek her autograph was, without a doubt, satisfying to see.

At first, Alexander would get worried if Selena got irritated with the number of people urging for an autograph from her. But, he has forgotten how kind-hearted she was – and never denied to a single autograph as she will happily sign it from the bottom of her heart.

Now that the band's popularity was growing vastly more, security had to be bumped up more for their safety. Even if most of the band members stated that they could take care of themselves, they still had to follow safety rules.

Whenever they were on stage performing, Alex would always keep a close eye on Selena, ready to jump in case someone attacked her or anything related to it. Her safety was on his top list.

Selena would sometimes try to assure Alex that she will be alright, but Alex knew that was never going to be the case. She was too kind, always accepting her fans with open arms whenever they needed something, and it scared Alex sometimes.

But, he knew Selena was right, she would be perfectly fine. Besides, there were dozens of securities that patrolled around the stage, so he knew nothing will happen to her.

Even so, he would never let his guard down. He already knew his presence changed this era; who knows what else could change as time went by. All he knew was keeping Selena safe and sound, along with his band friends.

Speaking of the Tejano Queen – a future legend whose legacy will continue to live on. Alex, at this point, was a total loss, and it frustrated him to no end that this foreign feeling inhabited his emotions.

Hanging out with her family and friends, Selena was always a carefree, bright, and playful person around them. With Alex, she acted differently than how she usually does, and it confused Alex.

There was a nagging feeling on him about the way she acted around him, acted vastly different. Most of the time, he decided not to dwell on it, but it was difficult when the person who was causing foreign feelings to stir inside him was always around wherever he went.

The vivid memories of going out to eat for the first time with her, dancing, eating together, gazing at each other on the beach, was, without a doubt, adding more to his perplex.

Sighing softly, Alex turned to his side, bringing his right hand, and stared at it with such intense, his eyes trailing the scars that plastered his skin.

You know, as time was going on, he couldn't deny the effect the Tejano singer was starting to get on him. The more he thought about it, the more it was starting to kill him on the inside.

Aside from that, he felt like a piece of trash for betraying Chris. Originally, those two were supposed to be together, but life had other plans for that, now it seems it's not going in that direction.

Alex didn't know what he did to deserve this. He preferred if they were friends forever, which was contradicting himself at this point. Whether he didn't want to admit it or not, there was something about Selena that caught his attention.

Maybe it's her charisma, maybe how kind she is, or the way she acted towards him. Who knows at this point.

Regardless, Alex was at a total loss with no answer to his problem. His entire life was always filled with problems, each of them, he always found a solution. But, for this problem, he had no solution.

Did it scare him?

Somewhat.

The only thing he could do was see what time had in store for him and the rest of the band. It did make him feel anxious for not knowing what could between him and Selena.

Either way, he refused to back down on anything. If fate has in store something for him, he would gladly take it on without an ounce of fear.

Always better to face your problems than to run away from them. In this case – face the foreign feelings he has for someone that's currently on the same tour bus as him.

Feeling his eyes starting to drop, Alex shifted the way he was laying down to a better comfortable position as every part of his body was starting to shut down.

Throwing a quick glance at Selena, whose back was facing him, he couldn't help but let out a low chuckle at her snoring.

All in all, Alex didn't know what he will do if he didn't have Chris and the band members with him. Most importantly, he didn't know what he will do if he didn't have Selena by his side.

Closing his eyes, Alex let darkness engulf him as he fell asleep. Tomorrow was going to be another busy day for Los Dinos, like always. Though, it always paid off in the end.

As he mentioned early, all he had to do was wait and see what the future had in store for him. If it was bad or good, he didn't care, but he had a feeling it was going to be a good one.
