Alex rarely failed in doing anything. Vastly.

When he set his mind on a task or goal - it was almost impossible for him to fail. He would exploit any solution needed for a conflict, the steps to achieve it, and the angles to come from. Yet, whenever he did fail, it would be because of his irrational errors or fate destined for another route.

He would always boast of not meeting failure all the time.

Unfortunately, the situations he's been in most of the time contradicted his belief.

Since joining the band, Alex promises to not change anything that will affect the era here seemed inviolable. Sadly, that all went down the drain the moment he laid his eyes on a certain browned hair female.

Selena was the reason for the turbulent state he was in.

Ever since they return from the trip, things hadn't been the same as they used to be. Alex has been constantly thinking, fantasizing, daydreaming, and dreaming about her.

There were times when he would space out during practice to the point Chris and A.B were starting to get concerned about his well-being.

Of course, he was alright, it was just that someone was constantly invading his thoughts wherever he went.

And whenever that special someone was close to him - his body would shut down automatically - and the next thing you know, stuttering and nervousness would flood his body at a rapid pace.

Alex hated it. He hated how much of a fool he acted around her. He hated how she always steals his attention. He hated how he instantly lost himself in her chocolate eye color gaze that radiated kindness, happiness, selflessness, and honesty.

He hated how her voice immediately soothed his problems - especially when they were on stage - and he would lose himself in her singing to the point he forgot he was playing the guitar.

He hated how he would stare endlessly at the way her form swayed in the dance room whenever he visited it. The way the sweat glistened on her flawless tan skin. The way her clothes stuck on her like tape, displaying her natural curves entranced him.

And the way she would stare at him with joy as her lips, covered by her usual bold red shade lipstick, curl into a large genuine smile that sometimes made him wonder if he was in heaven or not.

He hated all of that.

And yet, he knew that was all a lie.

He knew he didn't hate it.

External, he was professional enough to fool everyone he was alright. But internally, Alex felt like her presence was killing him. He just couldn't get her out of his head.

It was even worst when it was time to practice before the next tours. Alex was absentmindedly of his companions around him as they spoke of their errors in their practice.

Chris, with a concerned expression, noticed the way, Alex entered a state of reverie. He knew something was troubling the black-haired male ail. Yet, no matter how many times he would inquire, Alex's response was not to worry.

As the hours turned to days, and the endless nights started to lessen, Alex deduced what he feared the most since the beginning.

He fell for her.

It all made sense now. And how it took him a long time to realize made his anger towards him soar high.

He fell for her.

It all made sense now. The daydreaming. The thinking. The way his heart would beat a thousand miles per hour to the point it resonated in his ears. The dreams he would have of her.

Everything was coherent.

As there was fear, there was also an extreme amount of happiness just thinking about it. Who would have thought that a simple guitarist - a simple person who was from a different time - an orphan - was a normal individual - could even imagine ending up with a gorgeous woman such as Selena.

If he were to tell anyone from his time, they would advise him to stop taking that nose candy.

Just thinking about it made him chuckle.

This. All of this. Must be a dream. It was too surreal.

But it wasn't. This wasn't a dream; no matter how much pain he inflicted on himself to see if he would wake up.

Despite not believing the situation he was in - Alex concluded that something will eventually happen between him and Selena.

Only a matter of time before one of them had enough.

And that added more distress to Alex. What would the band think? What would A.B and Suzette say? And most importantly, what will Abraham do?

Too many questions. But a short amount of time for an answer.

Either way, despite the fear and stress that crept up on Alex during the days and nights. He couldn't help himself as he began to imagine a life with the Queen of Tejano.

If that did happen - keyword, 'if'.

What would he do differently?

Alex would treat her like a queen. He would make sure to make her feel like she was the only woman in his eyes. He would make sure she feels safe and comfortable around him. Being with her through the darkest of days till the end.

All the more reasons he was looking forward to the upcoming future. Those thoughts alone made his distress and turbulent emotions more assuage.

Almost a year has passed, and they have been close to each other, that was all needed for the foundation to be created. Now, all they need to do is build it up from there.

All in all, fear started to disappear, and eventually, hope blossomed.

If this was the life he choose after meeting Chris.

If this was the life he choose for accepting joining the band.

If this is the path he chooses during the trip arc.

Then, without a doubt, he's extremely grateful he did.

Now all the fear, anxiety, and distress vanished in a blink of an eye. The only thing left to do is sit back and deal with the upcoming conflicts that are currently making their way toward them.

And he will make sure every single one of them is solved without giving up

Especially the main one that's about to happen in 1995.
