"Sel, you still haven't finished drawing?" Suzette asked, sitting up on her bed as she gazed at her younger sister's drawing.

Selena shook her head, not turning to look at her as she lay on her stomach while continuing to draw. "This fine piece of art takes time. Besides, why are you asking? You stopped drawing with me since we were little."

The drum player of the group let out a chortle. "I stopped because I couldn't draw, you know that, Sel."

"Well, Alex didn't know how to draw and he was worse than you. And now look, he draws with me every time while we are in Big Berth, plus he improved." Selena remarked, earning an eyebrow raise from Suzette.

The drum player rose her eyes in surprise. "You got Alex into drawing? That explains why you two spend most of the time together in the bunk area."

"Y-yeah, w-well... I'm happy with that. At least it doesn't get boring." Selena stated. "And before you say anything about me calling you guys boring, you're wrong. You already know I love hanging out with everyone, however, I, once in a while, like to enjoy the quietness as I draw."

Suzette nodded in agreement. "I guess that makes sense. Alexander is super calm - way too calm - right mom?" she turned to look at her mom who hummed in consensus.

"That's true. That young man has a severe case of an introvert."

Selena playfully rolled her eyes. "Regardless of all of that, he may be reserved and quiet, but we spend most of the time together drawing. And as I said before, he has improved.

"Yeah, I'm aware you two spend all the time together. Obviously, he would improve." Suzette retorted.

The Queen of Tejano turned to look at her sister, eyes curious. "What do you mean by that?"

Suzette whistled. "Nothing."

"Stop fighting you two. Today's supposed to be a peaceful day." Marcella called out to them, eyes focused on the T.V.

"Mom, we aren't fighting," Selena replied. "Not yet, until Suzette starts like she always does.."

"Wait, me?" The older sister asked in slight disbelief. "You're the one that starts."

"No, I don't!"

"Yes, you do!"

"Girls, that's enough." Abraham scolded, silencing them.

Hands resting on his stomach as he lay beside his wife, he stared at his daughters for a moment before returning his attention to the T.V, invested in the news.

Suzette shook her head and returned her gaze to Selena, staring at her drawing. "Sel."

"Hmm?"

"Is that a new notebook?"

Selena smiled. "Yeah. Alex got it for me."

"How nice of him. Did he also get the other 5 notebooks that are right beside you?" Suzette inquired.

Selena nodded, happy that she has more notebooks to draw. After the conversation, she had with Alex about wanting to become a fashion designer and him wanting to aid her. Her motivation has skyrocketed way high.

Because of that, she has been drawing in hopes of then opening up her boutiques and selling her clothes. Optimistically about having her clothing line.

"Yup. Not only did he get me 6 notebooks, but he also bought me colored pencils." She displayed the box of colored pencils to her older sister.
