Chapter 20

Mia's Pov
"So, your not going to tell anyone about this, are you?" I asked Ashton for about the millionth time.
"Mia, I already told the 10 other times you asked, i'm not going to tell anyone as long as you don't do it anymore."

I let out a deep sigh, knowing that anything, or anyone, could make me feel the urge, and I might just end up breaking my promise to not cut anymore.

"Mia, you will keep your promise, won't you?" He looked at me, pleading for me to say that it wouldn't ever happen. But the thing is, I couldn't do that. I couldn't tell him I would definitely not break my promise. Because that would be a lie.
I sighed again.

"Ashton, I would be lying to you if I said I would definitely stop."
"Promises are meant to be kept, Mia. You can't not try."
"I'm not saying I wont promise to try. I just can't keep my word on never doing it again."
"Fine, I guess that's better than nothing. Besides, i'm going to try make you feel as happy as can be. I'm going to make sure that nothing bad happens to you. That way, you won't ever feel the urge."

He seemed so happy when telling me his plan, that I didn't want to burst his bubble. But in true fact, it would get him hurt if he tried to protect me from everything bad, the bad stuff in my life was endless, it would be impossible for him to stop that.

Instead of making him upset by telling him that would never happen, I just said,
"And how are you going to do that then. Make me happy, that is."
"Well, first i'm going to ask you something that will hopefully make you happy."
"And what is that."
"Mia, We haven't known each other that long. I mean, I haven't even taken you out yet. But I just, I've just really wanted to, um, you know, I've wanted to..."
"Ashton, stop rambling, just get to the point."
"Will you be my girlfriend? Officially. I mean when I asked you, I wasn't really sure if you..."
"Yes, I will be your girlfriend."

The grin on his face made my whole day. There was a spark in his eyes, telling me how happy he was.It was contagious. I could feel the grin that was forcing its way onto my face.
"Thank God thats off of my chest." He let out a sigh of relief before the grin was back on his face."

"Okay, I guess we can go back to my house now." I suggested.
He seemed to be in some kind of happy daze as he didn't answer me. I tapped his shoulder, calling his name.
"Umm hmm?" He turned his face up to me, still a smile in his face.
"I said, shall we go back to my house?"
"Oh, right. Come on then,lets go."
I walked with a bounce in my step while leaving. I shouted and waved 'bye' to Leanne before me and Ashton left the shop.

"Remember, we have our first date on Friday."
"Yes, Ashton. How could I forget when you keep saying how excited you are about taking me to this mystery place."
We had just arrived outside my house, and he was going on about Friday, while still not telling me where we were actually going.

"Can I at least get a clue of where you taking me?"
"Mia, I told you its a surprise. Just wear casual clothes and you will be fine."
"Okay then." I sighed frustrated. I really wasn't good with not knowing something.
"Anyway, we have the whole of the holiday to look forward to as well. I have plenty more dates planned. So be prepared to not be told things."
"Great, more surprises." I said sarcastically.

"Er, I think I should probably go inside..."
"Okay." his eyes averted from my eyes down to my lips. He bit his lip, wondering. I knew he was contemplating to kiss me or not, but he wasn't sure. So I leaned in instead and kissed him. My first kiss. I pulled, smiling before turning around, opening the door and waving bye.

Hi guys.
I know this is a really short chapter but I didn't have enough time to make it longer but I still wanted to give you something.
How do you guys feel about Mia and Ashton? I'm trying to think of a ship name but all J can think of is Mashton, but thats already taken so what else can I do? If any of you come up with one, comment it and i'll use it.
