Chapter 9

Mia's Pov
I woke up to my alarm. Why was it so loud. It took about 10 years just to shut the stupid thing up. Then it hit me. I'm 16 today. Oh my freaking god, I'm 16.I jumped up out of my bed and ran to Dean's room. Somewhat of a tradition for our birthday's. I would wake him up after I woke up, he would shout at me and then relise its our birthday and be all excited.

I screamed "Dean, wake up."
"Mia what the fuck, why you waking me up in the middle of the night? Bitch! " He replied.
"Bitch, don't call me a bitch on our birthday, oh and its 6:30, not the middle of the night.."
"I don't care that its... OH MY SHITTING HELL! WERE 16!" he shouted in excitment. "Shhh Dean, your gonna wake Mum and Liam up. Anyway, do you want your present?"I asked.
"Yaay, presents! Wait you open yours first. I'll just go get it."

He then went into his walk in closet and searched for the present. While he did this, I got the watch I got for him out. He always asked for the time and never was bothered to check his phone so I thought this would be perfect for him. I also got him blue beats as well which he would probably like more.

"Here you go." I said to him when he got back. I watched him open his presents.
"You know what? I had a feeling you would buy me a watch. OH MY GOD. You got me beats? Aww thanks Mia."

He gave me a hug and took out something from behind him. I practically screamed when I saw it. He bought me a knew guitar. The old one used to be my Mums so it was quite old and I had wanted a knew one for ages.
"Oh my god Dean. That must of cost a lot. Were did you get the money? Aww thank you so so so so much."
I gave him a hug before taking the guitar off him. I started to play a random tune. Dean seriously was the best.

"Come on, we might as well get ready for school." I said when I finished playing.
"Ugh, you just ruined my mood. I hate school, whats the point in it?"he complained. "Dean, don't complain." I sighed.
"I think I can complain, its bloody school, who doesnt complain about it on their birthday?"
"Dean, you don't go through half the stuff I go through so don't think that school is sooo hard because i get a lot more shit than homework which is probably the only hard thing for you." I shouted.

I don't know why i was so angry. I guess him complaining was kinda itritating when i was the one that got bullied.

"Shit Mia, i didnt mean it like that! Im really sorry." Well atleast he apoligised.
"Its okay, anyway im going to have a shower so ill see you downstairs."
I walked out of his room and went to get an outfit ready. I decided on pastel blue playsuit as it was quite hot outside.

During the time of me getting ready, my Mum must if woke up because as I made my way downstairs, I could smell pancakes! "Happy Birthday honey, you look nice."
"Thanks Mum, smells good."I replied.

"They'll be ready soon. Do you want to open your present?" Before I could say anything I heard Dean speak.
"Did I hear the word presents?" Dean walked into the room followed by Liam. "Happy Birthday Mia." Liam said and walked over to give me a hug.

"Hey, you never said that to me." Dean complained. Seems like being 16 didn't change Dean in the slightest.
"Well who said I cared about you." Liam Joked.
"Well fine then, I just wont get you anything on your birthday."
"Shut up man, I was just messing around. Happy Birthday."
As Liam walked past Dean he ruffled his hair.
"Actually, i prefer being ignored rather than treated like a kid." Dean mumbled.

"Okay if you guys are done then we can eat and...." Mum stopped speaking as the door bell rang. Who the hell was coming to our house at this time?

"Oh, i'll go get it then" I said sarcastically as no one else bothered. I walked over to the door and was completely shocked to see who it was. It was Ashton! What the hell was he doing here?
"Well I came to see you cause its your birthday and I bought you something." he answered nervously. Shit, i must of spoke out loud. Woops. Wait, did he just say that he bought me something?
"Yeah I did." Shit, what the hell is wrong with me thinking things and then saying them out loud?
"Okay Ashton, that was a really bad greeting, can we do it again?"
"Sure? " He said it more like a question.

I closed the door and let him knock. This time when I opened, i did it properly.
"Ashton, how nice to see you." I greeted, A little bit overly extravagantly.
"Well its nice to see you too! Happy birthday, I got you something."
"Seriously Ashton, why did you do that?"
"Well, I wanted to, so here you go."
He handed over a small box. I open it to see the cutest bracelet ever. It was gold with little pink flowers on it. In fact it would go perfectly with a pair of shoes I had.
"Aww, this is soo cute." I struggled to put it on so he took it and did it for me. Seriously, he was the sweetest.
"Um, excuse me." Liam and Dean say at the same time. I looked behind me and saw them giving death glares to Ashton. If looks could kill...

"Ashton, these are my brothers Dean and Liam. And guys, this is my friend, Ashton." I put emphasis on the word friend but still, they both scoffed. Ashton shifted on his feet. I don't blame him. The two of them look like they would kill him on the spot if they could.
"Sure, he's your friend." Liam said sarcastically.
"Yes he's my friend." I was going to carry on but Ashton stopped me.
"Mia, you have school right? I think I should leave now but I'll see you on Friday!"
" Yeah, I'll see you then." he gave me a quick wave and with that, he was gone. "Well,that went well." I muttered sarcastically.

"Soooo, you gonna tell us about this, Ashton" Dean asked making Ashton's name seem like a bad word.
"Dean, I already told you about him the other day so i dont know why your acting clueless. And Liam, you already know him right?"
" Yeah, he's a friend of a friends, He seemed nice when i last saw him. and how come Dean knew about him and I didn't?"
"Well firstly, see, you even think he is a nice guy and secondly I already told you, I like Dean better."
" Whatever." He said while Dean just laughed. I realised we should probably get going now. Looks like I wont be getting any pancakes.
"Dean come on,we have to leave now."
"I'll drive you." Liam announced. Well thats a first.
