chapter 12

Mia's Pov
As I entered the school, I felt so excited. Yesterday I had the day off because relatives came to visit all the way from the UK. They're still here but my Mum said I had to go to school. But i actually want to go to school, so its fine.

Me and Luke seemed good the other day so that means no more bullying. And him not bullying me means everybody else stops as well!

On my way to my locker, I saw Luke with Michael. I smiled at him yet he frowned. This left me really confused. I walked over to him and greeted him.
"Hi Luke."
"Why the hell is she talking to you?" Michael whispered to Luke. Suddenly, i felt myself be twisted around and my head hit the hard metal of Luke's locker. Again.

"The other day was nothing. Dont get any ideas.Me and you are not friends." He whispered in my ear. I was left standing there shocked.
"You can go now!" He spat.

"Disgusting skank thinks were friends." He laughed with Michael. I quickly ran to get away. Why? Why did I forgive him. How was I that stupid. How could I think he would change?

"Mia, look. I never stopped caring about you. We were like best friends.I loved being your best friend..."

What a load of bullshit. He didnt mean any of it. He didnt mean a single word. The fucking bastard. I actually believed what he had said. And the song. He probably just found it on the internet because no way can someone that heartless write a song like that.

I wiped away some of my tears but they just kept falling. By the time I managed to see slightly, I saw a blurry Calum looking down at me.
I jumped because I didnt see him and tripped over my own feet. He steadied me before I could fall.
"S-sorry." I apologised
"No, its okay. Um, what did Luke do now?" He asked.
"Nothing, he did nothing."
"Im not stupid. What did he do?"He wasn't going to let this go.
"Calum, it doesnt matter what he did. He is always going to do things.And nothing can make up for that."
"Mia, just tell me what he did. I can go sort him out for you!"
"You and Dean are exactly the same.Stupid!"
"Hey, we're not stupid!"
"Then why do you think that fighting Luke will 'sort him out' then? You both do the exact same thing."

"Mia, I wouldnt punch one of my best friends. Okay, maybe I would but thats not the point. Look, dont tell me what Luke did. As long as your fine, Im fine.You are okay, right?"
"Im fine." I replied blankly.
"Mia, im trying here. I just want to try and be your friend but the way your acting doesnt make it very easy."
"Im sorry, okay. Im really not in the mood to talk right now so i'll see you later."
I sped walked away from him to my next class. I know Im being a bitch right now but I really cant be asked to try and be nice when no one is ever nice to me. This day is nowhere near what I thought it was going to be.
Well, atleast I have the gig to look forward to.

Finally school was over and I was back at home. I quickly went into the shower and chose high waisted jeans with a crop top to wear. I did my make up quite natural and curled my hair. For once, when I looked in the mirror, I was happy with the person I was in front of me.
I made my way downstairs to wait for Ashton. He said he would pick me up at 6 and it was 5:30. Half an hour to wait. Fun.
"Oh,honey you look nice. Are you going out?" My Mum questioned as she walked in.
"Thanks Mum amd yeah, Im going out. I'll be back in a couple of hours."
"Okay, just make sure you lock the door when you come back home.And your aunts and uncles are leaving tommorrow so make sure you dont make any plans."
"Yeah, I know."
"Mia, why are you all dressed up." Looks like Dean is joining our conversation too.
"She's going out." Mum said before I could answer.
"Your not going out with that Ashton guy, are you?" Dean asked.
Yet again, before I could speak, my Mum did.
"Who's Ashton?"
"He is the friend that gave me the braclet and yes, It is him that im going out with." I answered.
"So you are dating him?" Dean questioned, confused.
"No, Im not going out with him. Im just going somewhere with him as friends."
What does it take to get him to understand. Before Dean could say anything else, the door bell rang. Thank God Ashton was early. I went to go open the door but Dean beat me to it.
