"GET OUT OF MY― SAANJH!!!"

Parthveer violently shook Saanjh, who looked like she was having a panic attack. She was crying and hiccuping, hee breath shortening. He scooped her in his arms and slowly ran his hand on her hairs while she cried hysterically.

Slowly, and steadily, she calmed down, and looked around, confused. "W-what happened?" She asked to no one.

Thinking she is talking to him, Parthveer spoke, "You were on a verge of having a panic attack. Seriously Saanjh please tell me what happened? I can't see you like. I can't. It is getting out od hand nowadays."

Saanjh bit her lip. Before she could say anything, Parthveer cut her off. "Don't do that 'I am alright' bullshit with me. Tell me what got you like that." He sternly said. "And truth." He added.

"I.. Apoorva Jiji.. she didn't die in accident." Parthveer's heart dropped on the pit of his stomach. "What?" He whispered. "What do you mean Saanjh!?" He grabbed her arms and shook her.

"I am saying the truth!" Saanjh cried out, tears streaming down her face. "She was killed! She was killed by Duhaans!" She cried out, hiccupping in the end.

Parthveer felt his mind go numb, he couldn't process anything. All he could hear was the ghost of Apoorva's laughter, her whispers, her kiddish nature, and everything which made him fall for her harder.

He had loved Apoorva since he first met her in Seoul, when she threw her chocolate pie at him, thinking it was her best friend. That embarrassed blush, that nervousness dripping from her tone, everything looked so cute. They had gone out on a few dates, when Parthveer proposed her. Turned out she liked him too, and they got together, marrying 6 months later. Apoorva won everyone's heart due to her behaviour, and society wasn't even a obstacle because she belonged to an elite Rajput Family, the Sisodiyas of Ajmer, who were also connected with Shekhawats of Udaipur. Everything was good until that fateful day when she left him.

But why doesn't it hurt so much? He should have broke something, why is there so calm yet so much storm? The two clashing waves of despair and calmness was crowding up Parthveer's mind. His mind was going haywire, his breathing erratic as the sound continued to volume up, he started shaking and clasped his hands over his ears.

Saanjh gulped in fear as she looked at her husband. He was shaking, he had clasped his hands at his ears, and it felt as if he was going to burn the whole palace down.

"Rana sa?" She tentativly placed her palm on Parthveer, and in a flash he had turned around and hugged her, literally crushing her smaller frame in his athletic body.

She heard soft sniffles, and the off pink cotton cloth on her shoulder getting wet due to the tears which escaped his eyes. "It hurts... My head.. it hurts so much." Parthveer softly cried.

Saanjh kept shushing him, running her hands down his hairs, trying to calm him down. Eventually, he stopped crying, and broke the hug.

"Can you tell me, how did you got to know about it?" Parthveer asked, calmly.

"I... When I first got to know about Apoorva Jiji's death from Yash, my mind couldn't digest the fact. Say it gut feeling or whatever you want, I couldn't just agree to it. So I gathered footage from my friend who works in Cyber Police. He gave me thr footage and after I shared it with Aarushi, we came to know that she was killed. It was clear. Then I had got the location of that man, and with ACP Gagan Agnihotri, we found the driver, who told us that Chaitanya Singh Duhaan bribed him to attack Apoorva Jiji." Saanjh told him everything.

Chaitanya's name made Parthveer boil. He knew Chaitanya would do anything, anything to give Parthveer pain. And thus, he took Apoorva from her.

"I am mad at you, you should have told this to me at the moment you saw that footage." Parthveer scolded her.

"I couldn't."

"Why?"

"Would you have agreed? Would you have let me pursue that driver?" Saanjh asked, making him fall silent. She was right, he wouldn't have agreed that Chaitanya killed Apoorva.

"No. I wouldn't have." Parthveer looked down.

"That's why I didn't told you." Saanjh said.

"I am going to kill that Bastard!" Parthveer cursed loudly, jumping on his feet. Saanjh widened her eyes and grabbed him arm, stopping him. "We can't do that!"

"He killed Apoorva!" Parthveer countered.

"Why to become a criminal while we have the proof and we can take legal actions?" Saanjh tried to convince Parthveer.

"What do you mean?" Parthveer asked.

"Let's drag them to court." Saanjh said, her eyes hardening in determination.
