Saanjh got bored into the Holi festival. Even if she had her friends, Rana sa, Tejasswi, Aaryamann, Aarushi, etc. With her, her Queen duties came as a rock in her path of fun at Holi.
Even though Tejasswi tried to pull Saanjh into fun, Saanjh politely declined, gesturing the guests and pulling the veil over her head up.
Her mind flashed with the memories of the colored waters at Lal Mahal. Harshvardhan and Harshada smearing her face with colored powder, also known as Gulaal. The traditional singers singing Faag- the traditional holi song. Her mum caressing her face with so much love, a certain brown haired boy admiringly looking-
"Bored?" She immediately looked up, but instead of that brown haired boy, stood the current King of Jaipur.
Shaking out herself from the wave of nostalgia, she nodded. "Hm... It is definitely kinda boring here, especially when you have to stay up to expectations." Parthveer hummed. "How was it like in Shaktigarh?" asked Parthveer.
"We used to have so much fun. Everyone knew that the Royal Rathore siblings are troublemakers and when you have friends like Grace, Kiara, Ciel and Jay, one can bet dollars on the chaos." Saanjh laughed.
"Looks like my wife was quite a troublemaker.." Parthveer said with a chuckle, forgetting that he had called her 'My Wife'. A place he never knew she was taking in his heart.
"By the way I-" Saanjh was cut off harshly when someone showed a handful of violet and red color on her face, that awful taste filling her taste-buds. "Yuck!!" Saanjh exclaimed in disgust, shaking her colored face furiously.
The melodious laughter behind her took the girl by surprise as she huffed out and turned. "Are you serious?" She deadpanned.
"Nope!" Aarushi popped at the word 'P'. "I am Aarushi." Saanjh face-palmed.
"C'mon Aarushi, you aren't going to leave that pun?" She chuckled when Aarushi goofily shook her head.
"Well, Aarushi Baisa, if you haven't noticed, Saanjh Bhabhi sa is in her 'Queen' mode." Aaryamann teased Saanjh who glared at him.
Aarushi rolled her eyes. "Jijosahab Hukum!" Aarushi turned to Parthveer. "Tell your best friend to stop being a Killjoy." Aarushi pointed towards Aaryamann who let out a small, accusatory, "Hey!"
"C'mon Saanjh, loosen up a bit!!" Aarushi exasperated.
"I wish I could, Aarushi. But not today." If Aarushi was stubborn, Saanjh was double stubborn.
"Suits yourself then." Aarushi flipped her hairs back and went away.

The very next day, alarm blared at exact four am in the morning.
"Urghh!!!" Parthveer groaned in annoyance, switching off the alarm and was about to go into his deep slumber once again, when he heard shuffling and peeked his one eye open to see Saanjh tying her messy bed hairs in a bun sleepily.
"Where are you going at this hour?" He asked her.
She looked at him in disbelief. "Today is Gangaur, Rana sa. It's my first Gangaur after marriage. I don't want to be late." She rolled her eyes getting off the bed.
"I don't know about you but wake me up at 6.30 exact." He said and before she could reply, covered his face with blanket.
Saanjh just sighed.
.
Saanjh walked out of the bathroom, rubbing her hairs softly with the towel. Her chocolaty brown eyes, with hints of golden specks dated towards the clock and widened. She immediately ran towards the closet and opened it with a bang.
"AAH!!" Parthveer woke up with a start when he heard a loud and painful shriek, and looked around groggily to find Saanjh pressing her toe, her face etched with pain and agony.
"What happened Saanjh!?" He asked.
"I stubbed my toe!!" Saanjh cried. Parthveer sighed and went to her side. "Here, come with me." He knew she won't be able to get up on her own, but still she got up and limped to the bed. Parthveer opened the closet, and found an ointment.
"Give me your leg." Parthveer said.
"Then how will I walk?" Saanjh asked back, a goofy smile at her face looking at Parthveer's annoyed expression. "Okay, sorry! But I will apply it." Saanjh took the ointment from his hands and was about to spill some out, until Parthveer took it from her hands, took some paste out, and started applying on her toes.
"Shut up and sit." Parthveer ordered.
"Yeah yeah, Rana sa Hukum.." Saanjh grumbled.
"What time it is?" Parthveer rubbed his eyes, but Saanjh was entranced be his beauty. The sunlight which filtered through the window fell on his messy mop of black hairs, and the way he tiredly rubbed his eyes, his lips pulled into a pout-- made him look adorable.
Unconsciously, Saanjh reached out, and kissed his forehead, making Parthveer stiffen. He snapped his neck up, accidentally hitting Saanjh on her head, thus breaking her trance. Saanjh, coming out of the trance, recalled what she did and red flared up at her face.
"I... That.. Sorry!!!" Saanjh stammered and jolted upwards.
"Tomato..!" Parthveer laughed at her face.
"What?" Saanjh was dumbfounded.
"You look like a tomato." Parthveer told her, and Saanjh go drowned into embarrassment.
"Please don't tell about this to Aarushi, she will kill me!" Saanjh said, burying her face in her hands.
"I won't, Tomato!!" Saanjh grabbed a pillow and chucked it at Parthveer, who ran inside the bathroom- and pillow hit the door.
Saanjh chuckled, and went to closet, taking out her Poshak and jewelleries for her first Gangaur.
